It's not 10 years old, YET--it's gonna take me 10 years to knit it...at which time I will take care of any fungus. It's about 2 years old, at this point.
I'm sure once you get into the 'swing of it', it wont take 10 years.

I could crochet a baby shawl. I have yet to learn how to knit. I did dream about knitting last night. Do you think this thread had anything to do with it?

Yeah, it's already moving more quickly...but the issue is that I've grown accustomed to the instant gratification that comes from making doll cardigans. I'm sure once you get into the 'swing of it', it wont take 10 years.

It's actually quite an easy pattern as long as you can handle a cable needle.But...I think that pattern might drive me to drink.

Ooops! That'll mess up the pattern a bit.

I can knit, but i'm not very good at following patterns (havent really tried many times tbh) I did learn to crochet last year and made 2 blankets for baby when i preg, one day in town 4 different people 3 of which were strangers commented on how nice my baby's blanket was (yes i'm blowing my own trumpet) When i say i made it they look at me strange cos i'm not 50 lol

! What is this strange code ?! *scurries back to non-knitter land*
PSSO means to pass a slipped stitch over without knitting it, and then pass it back over.
You're jst loving this thread aren'tOriginally Posted by Lori:

I was looking at that Cinds. Not because I want to knit the Royals but because I want some patterns for little dolls that have features knitted as part of the face rather than just embroidered on afterwards.
I have issues

Hello ladies
I know have a front and a back! How good am I . I even sussed out the v-neck! I am about to start sewing together so I can knit the band around the v neck.
can some please explain 'P2 tog tbl' to me?!! Why is it different from just purling 2 stitches together?

Also and please dont laugh When the pattern says to join the right shoulder seam...does it mean as you look at it or as you would wear it? Its been a long few weeks!

"tbl" means "through the back loop". You know how you usually purl through the front loop? Well, this is a teensy bit different.
Here's what I'd do: I'd go to Super-Extra-Expert Google and type "P2 tog tbl", and get a video to show you how! That's how I learned how to cable cast-on!

I don't think that's a silly question at all...although I'm not sure why it would make a difference.*waits for someone else to weigh in*
Helpful as usual, eh, Blizzy?

Thanks Lori I will check out the tubey place!

If I lay the front of the jumper to the back i have to join the right shoulder seam only then pick up the stitches on the v neck. If i look at it the right seam when worn is the left one! Why doesnt it makes a difference?
If 'twere me, I'd do the right shoulder as if I were wearing it. But, that's just me, a non-expert.

Yes, the right shoulder is YOUR right shoulder. Put the two pieces together Knit sides together and sew the seam that would bo over YOUR right shoulder.Hope this helps with the P2tog tbl
I wish we could have knitting related trigger words on here
