I don't know what Scotty post likes in general, I can say I have posted a few times with her and she's been fine with me and the way you read her post is not how I read her post at all.I don't think it's you Prince, if that's how you feel fair enough and as you say opions are different! It's just that I read the thread as the topic is of great interest to me and I saw Frosty's post and thought "bloody hell, where the hell did that come from".
For me It's not to do with Scotty, it's to do with the OP's response. I don't get time to spend long enough on here anymore to know who dislikes who.

We had a young man in his twenties live behind us until 2yrs ago when he battered his Grandmother to death with a hammer!
This man started taking steroids in his teens which f***ed with his mind to the point of sending him mad..he was still allowed to live at home & his medication was his responsibility which he chose not to/forgot to take...which resulted in an horrific event!
I'm not sure if I find him or the medical authority responsible!
But he was not in control of his actions at the time...

There are many many reasons why someone will do something - in the 1970's was Mental health problems used as a reason for the Black Panther, no?

The OP is implying that people are pretending to have mental health problems, in order to escape justice.
I'm sure this does happen and can only hope that these people are properly assessed and the truth comes out.
In this case, however, this man has a 'history' of mental illness, and I doubt that he spent years planning this attack, so it doesn't really make sense to suggest that he is making it up.
I'm sure he would have thought of a better weapon than a souvenir cathedral, if he'd planned it all!

I think the OP was drawing a parallel between yesterday's attack and the other high profile attacks and wondering whether it was an excuse they used.I hope she comes back to explain

In this case (as in all such cases) the media report what the police have told them is the reason. THEY don't decide someone has mental health issues, they simply tell the public what those in authority have told them.Talk about shooting the messenger!
Who has pretended - not the guy in the most recent event but i'm sure they do - and have always done - in order to "get off" with their crimes

What are you getting done Moonie? Why is it taking so long? Usually I find over here that if you pit the parties against each other things get done quicker. So if your local councillor isn't getting things moving for you, is there some one who might be keen for your votes next time around, who might be willing to help?
New kitchen, bathroom and rewireing Temps. The main things are done. Its just the "finishing off" now. Like, pipes to be boxed in, sealant to be applied in certain places, a replacement tile to be grouted but the main thing is the kitchen floor to be redone cause the glue is coming up between the tiles even after 3 week 
We have a liason officer who's mobile is always on answerphone and she never replies to messages. If you phone the main contractor, they take messages but never do anything

I suspect that public figures etc with a high profile tent to attract some folk with mental issues.Mental health doesn't get the funding it really needs,hence so many folk "out there" not getting the care they need.
