There was kind of hints that clothing had been found, Maybe she had to look at something.
Police thanking people but not saying much tonight, except still looking for April

They found a pair of shoes the other day and did'nt comment on them....

I thought that when I read that this morning.  Why bring it up?  Then again it's news sites sensationalising the trivial details.

I've got to say that I find it rather strange that he acted the normal father just an hour or so before kidnapping a child who had been playing with his. For all we know, he could be protecting somebody else (his son for instance who made a point of being at the search from the word go. Remind you of somebody?). It's all just projecture on our part. I hope she will be found soon.

This case gets more confusing by the day, Mark Bridger was at the same parents evening as Aprils parents between 5 and 6 and then an hour later decides to abduct her, now they are saying he took April on holiday with his children in August

I wonder what will happen if they have to release him later today, i so hope they find her today

From the Telegraph.  A tragic fact is that it is more likely that someone will be murdered by someone they know rather than a random stranger.  Given that April obviously knew Mark Bridger well, it's no wonder she happily climbed in to his car.

Friends of April’s family disclosed that Mr Bridger had taken April on a trip to the seaside in his Land Rover Discovery in August, together with his own two children, with the permission of April’s parents.

Paul and Coral Jones had no qualms about allowing their daughter to go with Mr Bridger, as she often played with his two youngest children Sophie and Connor and their four-year-old half-sister Erin, who lived just a few doors away from April with their mother, who is estranged from Mr Bridger.

A friend of the family said: “Mark took his kids on a crabbing trip to the coast north of Machynlleth and April went with them in the Land Rover. “He was taking Sophie and Connor so Erin and April went along too. “Nobody in the family thought anything of it at the time - the kids love going crabbing in the summer.”

I think it makes it even stranger that he has kids the same age as her, as you say the police were very quick to make him a suspect, they seemed to have been looking for him straight away

The shoes bit was a gaff on behalf of a searcher..he walked right up to a group of people with telly camera's there and said.."found a pair of shoes"....the clothes thing is just the press trying to force the police into saying if they've found clothes IMO..

Thing that gets me with this is the man was'nt seen only the vehicle..the only eye witness is a 7 year old girl who could only state that the vehicle was smaller at the front than the back..the police gave out 2 vehicle descriptions..and why were the 2 girls so far away from their homes, thats a good walk for a 5 yr old..it still keeps crossing my mind the police have the wrong man and thats why its taking so long....

According to the Telegraph there was a 70 year old man who also saw the vehicle.

Makes you wonder what's gone on before eh?   I read somewhere he was seen driving erratically through the town on the parents' night or something.  I wonder if there's been some sort of row or threat made.

I know its a bit far fetched but i was thinking a long the lines of some sort of argument over the kids and he took her out of malice, some builders say he threatened them earlier in the week as well

I keep hoping that they've got the wrong man, because if it IS him, then it looks like poor little April is dead. However if someone else took her, then there is still hope...

Its all very odd.
