Thank goodness i am not on Twitter. The parents have enough to think about. easy to judge when some have no kids. Try getting them inside when they had the freedom of the summer hols , and then back to school. Shame on anyone to judge this family

I haven't seen much news since yesterday, but I did hear this morning that the police have asked the public to step back from the search and leave it to the experts, which gives me the feeling that they think they are now looking for a body and don't want anyone not prepared to find her.

Hopefully I am very wrong.

This is just too heartbreaking for words. I can't even begin to say how it makes me feel. That poor little girl and my heart just goes out to her parents. Just soooo terrible.

I hate judgemental people - the little girl was playing with friends outside her home - none of us know what the set up was like. There are some areas where you would just never let kids out of the front door or out of your sight but other areas can be quite different.

We live in a small village. We have a putting green on my front garden - my boys often play out on it - when the four year old is on his own I stay with him but I'll nip in to get us a drink or answer the phone - I suppose sometimes you think 'there for the grace of God' and all that. Thankfully these cases are rare - I'm sure most parents weigh up the pros and cons of what can be allowed. I don't think it's ever possible to be 100% safe.

I do hope they find her soon.

This awful story seems different to most abduction stories. Usually a child is taken when no one else is around and yet it's alleged she was abducted while with other children - did the abductor not think about descriptions of him and the car being given to the police straight away? Also we were told the car used was white or grey - a light colour. The car of the man arrested is blue. Most children of a certain age know the difference between colours.

If the man arrested is the abductor it's beyond the agonising cruelty for the parents for him not to tell the police where the little one is.

She was with one other child a 7 yr old, maybe he thought she would'nt be a good witness or hopefully he is'nt a paedo, this man has about 6 or 7 children around the place, I keep hoping and praying that somehow she is his daughter but I think that's just wishful thinking on my behalf..

The colour of the car was a cock up by Sky news the reporter mentioned it this morning..

I find Press Conferences frustrating for whatever reason they take place as we can't hear the questions clearly, only the answers. Anyway just listened and it sounded like a journalist asked if the mother had had a past relationship with him, no definitive answer as they ended the Conference. I was surprised they said they've only interviewed him twice. So hard to believe she could still be alive bless her.

It does seem strange that they have this man but still no idea where April is, it also seems odd that that she willingly got in the car with him

I wonder if he took the girl but passed her on to someone else and if that is the case then she could be miles away from where they are searching

My thoughts are with her parents at this terrible time

I'm starting to have a horrible feeling they have the wrong man..is it just the 7yr old thats an eye witness?....

update

Police are appealing to anybody who helped in the search for April Jones on Monday night and saw Mark Bridger helping in that same search to contact them as they have only just received information that he was there.

Well ...........on the news it said that after interviewing this man the Police have asked volunteers to stop looking and are targeting specific areas as a direct consequence of the interview. They are searching the river! I hate being a pessimist but I don't think there is an accomplice anywhere - I fear the worst. I think the Police are simply trying to build a case.

Quite often the 'offender' is very active at the scene of the crime and offering up help. Iain Huntley?

oh no.... that poor poor girl. I'm now imagining her mum subconsciously clock watching for meds/treatment and then realizing she's unable to administer it aswell as the other fears.......

After hearing her on the news today my heart really goes out to her and their family.
