I can't make my mind up .....a very difficult year. An excellent year ............have a soft spot for Andy Murray though 

I think I quickly discounted Andy Murray based on personality. I think there are more athletes tonight who not only have a good personality but have achieved a lot.

I do think Wiggo has made history, did well at the Olympics and has a nice personality.

Jess, mainly as she is a local lass.

Yeah, just watching them run through the list of contenders and I'm thinking 'how can we possibly rate any of them over the others?'

When I heard the list EFFT, I found it quite easy to pick my faves. 

narrowed it down to

bradley wiggins (tour de france and olympics)

jessica ennis 7 disciplines (and from sheffield!)

ben ainsley (consistancy)

Elf, you must be on same page as me (see my post further up). We picked the same top two. But I would have stuck in Ben if I had a third.

I'm watching, but won't be able to post much during the show.

Although the BBC have been hyping it as the closest contest ever, it's difficult for me to see beyond Bradley Wiggins at the moment. The bookies have him odds-on favourite (roughly 1/2), with Ennis and Farah following behind. If I had to suggest an outside bet, it would be Ellie Simmonds: Coral have her at 66/1, which seems extraordinarily high to me...

I think that every time you see an athletes VT you will probably change your mind. I would be happy for Jess to win too. But also happy if my other contender Wiggo wins.

I'm thinking (and would be quite happy with) Jess Ennis or Wiggo but - love tennis and awwwwww Andy - I never forget him being a little boy at the school in Dunblaine - what would that do to you. Sorry I know it's OT but those poor little kids in the US - not only the ones who died but the trauma for those who survived as well!!
