It won't let me quote either Issy and yet other can. Solution's on the other page. Doesn't work for me though

Just move over the words you wish to quote till they are blue then , go to reply button, click till box comes up, click the quote button, and what you highlighted should come up.
Open your reply box, once that's opened, scroll to the post(s) you want to quote, highlight and then click on the quotation marks box 2 boxes along to the left from the smiley face.
^^^ Was just testing. You highlight each and press the button after you've highlighted each one

And don't know if you know this or not, but you can move your reply box up and down as well (hover your cursor over the 'Post reply' bit at the top and '4 arrows' come up which enable you to move the box around

I'm using Chrome Sprout, maybe it's a browser thing, or just things need ironed out

Btw..to quote i have to open the reply box, the scroll up to the post i want to quote, highlight, scroll back down then press the quotation mark....it doesn't work if i highlight first then open the reply box...and if the thing i want to quote is a while back its a complete scrolly pain in the arse!

I just tried highlighting, then opening the reply box and clicking, but it didn't work. The reply box has to be opened first. It's handy to move the reply box around if you want to quote someone further up the page
Croc I thought a quote button would have worked better on the post too, but as there's still a bit of faffing around to do before you can actually quote someone (compared to C4 that was a one button click) then it probably wouldn't have worked (LAUGH cos the laugh smiley aint bliddy working)
A pm button on the posts would be good too.

I had no luck with IE8, but have just moved Firefox, and that clearly works!
As an aside: I'm not that impressed by a quote function that won't capture the ID of the FM i'm quoting...

You can always type it in yourself...thats not changed...it never did capture it.
