I saw them at T in the Park. Is that where you were? I LOVED THEM. They were the only band that I stayed for the whole set
(sorry for the thread hijack)
I have to admit I liked them back in the day but they were around when even half decent music was particularly thin on the ground and music was very conservative. At least they weren't tediously earnest and boring, like the majority of bands/groups at the time.
TBH, I don't think their music stands up too well and sounds pretty lightweight, superficial, camp and poppy.
Depeche Mode, now that's a different matter!

It says on thier official site that Yazoo were touring in America last year. Nothing about Erasure touring though
OP, you make it sound like they are not around anymore. They have been on the scene almost constantly since forming. Both releasing and touring.
Not my fav Vince Clark band, that would be Yazoo.

There is a clip on utube of this song, when he performed it for the BBC... he had blue chaps on, and a blue fluffy stetson.... they made him put on some pants (bare buttocks not in line with BBC pop policy)... so he has frilly knickers on too!
I have always been a huge fan of Erasure and I have most of their CD's.
well the gold lamÃĐ hot pants were a bit of a giveaway.quote:Originally posted by Aimee:quote:Originally posted by JacksonB:no i ddi when i was 12, and they have been erasue to me ever since.quote:Originally posted by Aimee:quote:Originally posted by JacksonB:
