Not me- better to watch the TV as there will be more coverage available. But envy the folk who can afford to be there in prime seats at the opening ceremony.

Yeah seems like it's gone over budget even before it starts. No wonder this Gov't is having to make cuts just to pay for this years Olympics.
My daughter and her friends have bought some but it's all gone t-ts up, what a sorry mess this ticket business is they've even took the money but no tickets
Yeah, you can tell we haven't had much experience at this sort of thing

A number of work colleagues applied quite heavily for tickets, but I was the only person who managed to get them for more than one event (showjumping and the football semi-final at Wembley). One colleague applied for thousands of pounds worth of tickets covering many events over a two-week period - basically she was planning her family's holiday around it - but all she got was white-water canoeing...
I don't know anyone who got tickets for any events at the main Olympic Park (I applied for a number of athletics and swimming events, but had no luck there.) My cousin told me at Christmas that I'm the only person she knows who got anything, as all her colleagues failed big time...

Oh, sure - the whole ticketing system's been a joke.
My cousin didn't apply for Olympic tickets herself, but she's a big "musical theatre" fan who's used to buying expensive show tickets over a year in advance, and she was shocked at how the Olympic ticketing worked (or didn't, as it were...)
Not interested in it in the slightest,I won't be watching it on TV either.A total waste of money.
I'm hoping to go to some of the non sporting events being held in London while the Olympic are on, I believe up on the Southbank they have losts of festivals planned,
I didn't apply for any tickets, I think some football tickets are still available,
