I always found it convenient that the London bombings happened on the 7th of July thus avoiding confusing the Americans with our backwards dating system.
9th of November still springs to mind whenever I see 9/11 
I should mention again the colognish term 4711 which we use to describe some particular continuous occurrence.
Having seen many videos and info over the years that continues to come out to this day, literally, re 9/11 no way do I believe the "official" line.
