'Tis exciting - especially now mine are 27, 23 and 22 - plus I'm in no hurry for grandchildren Shake Head (neither are my lot for babies!) but in my days I'd get up early and clean/cook and sit in the sun (sun? Confused ) knitting matinee coats/jumpers with clowns on, aran jackets etc)- the good old days of sun and children you could bath, smother in Johnston's talc and send to bed! Big Grin

I did use 'real nappies' for my first and half and half for my second - then 'Children's' World' opened just after my 2nd was born and I was having my third as well, so I stocked up on loads of disposable in various sizes but I still had gleaming white 'terry towelling' nappies' to the ready - nappy liners are a thing of the past. God, I sound old at 51 - ok, I am!

My late Mum used to say they would 'bleach' whiter blowing in the cold/frosty weather?

I used to 'iron' the labels flat too? Confused Shake Head

That's what happened to me SIAJ - I had the newly washed (old) nappies but the disposable were so tempting (they were really bad and ÂĢ3.50 for 10 in Mothercare' in those days - the leg parts we just 'pleats you folded in, not for getting we were on max of ÂĢ80 p/w with a mortgage then) - and what with this weather we're having now - go for the disposables , I would imo!). You're not far from me so I know the weather we're having. (I'm Swansea).
