I should have said Coastal, rather than Seaside. Lakes are good too!
The answer is not Skegness.
You can enjoy luxury breaks in Whitby and RHB by paying through the nose for well appointed cottages and paying a fortune at various sea filth restaurants.
Our southern based chums prefer Swanage.

I should also recommend the Northumbrian coast around the castles. You'll be surprised at some of the showbiz famblehs who knock around that area.

Allow me to offer BLYTH - that cess-pit of a drug den.
The tall ship visited - and were never heard of again.
Norfolk Fluffs ... very old fashioned and nice.
Northumberland is somewhere I'd love to go ... either Robson or Jerome (don't know which is which ... and don't care enough to find out!) did a series on the region a few years back ... it looks fab

Yeah, I looked at most of the suggestions.....(thanks folks).....and Northumberland Looked pretty inviting!
Mr Fluffy Thing, however, wants to go to The Claremont Hotel in Blackpool. Not for the touristy things, but because we've been there a couple of times before and he knows he'd be comfortable there (he's very fussy!).
However, we might already be to late to be able to get the accommodation we want for the dates we want! (end of March)
Contradictory as ever!.................He's just waltzed in and announced that he's gone off Blackpool!!!!!!!!

He's now quite liking the sound of the 'Big Blue' hotel in Blackpool - even though it is right next to the Pleasure Beach!
Thanks for all your suggestions folks, Mr Fluffy Thing has now booked 4 nights at the Big Blue, but we had to go for a week later than we first intended!
