I'm a bit cr@p at grammar, although I do know my 'their, there and they're'.

Honestly I'm not ..........................if it were just one OK but it's prolific so I'm guessing it's a regional/cultural thing.

I haven't really noticed the neither thing on here, but what does make me laugh, especially on some FB groups, are people who try to put someone else down and totally cock it up cos their grammar's a bit moody

TBH, I don't think it matters. If we get into grammar, spelling or any other mistakes, it takes away the free flow of the forum. Who cares.

I don't either. it simply jumps out at me .....................as I said if it were just one person OK - but lots of people do it and I was curious.

I'd use the word neither in the context you mention, but maybe we all have grammatical habits that maybe others don't use and they wonder why we do lol

Just to add as I can't be bothered to edit, to me the word "neither" is a contraction of "not me either"

I've noticed a lot of people use the word 'seen' when they actually mean it as  'seeing as.....'
I just presumed it's a regional thing?

Oh.. it's turning into a pedants thread.. I love them.   I can't think what I type in that instance.... I could use either........... if I was writing something formal I'd probably think about it make sure I used the write word.   


Cos's 'seen' remark reminds of my little nark.. 'use/used'    I say  "I used to...' lots of people say 'I use to'   I think it should be 'used to' and the latter is just lazy speak in type?

Actually the either/neither thing doesn't grate with me ...............being that it's pretty prolific I assumed it's different in different communities/places,

I'm not one of the grammar police as a rule but while we're on the subject I have to admit to seeing red when people say 'would of' instead of 'would have'.

Not that it matters but ...........just thought I'd add my two pennorth!
