Well... My fave footwear for going out is boots, and my fave for walking around town and stuff is trainers and my fave at home is slippers or flipflops.  But my fave FOOTWEAR per se is the BOOTS, so that is what I voted for....

Sandals (no socks) in the summer. I hate my feet being cooped up in shoes, but obviously in the winter shoes and wellies with socks are a must

Shoes mainly,but in the summer sandals,weather permitting.I'm a six and half shoe size which is a bugger because so many outlets  no longer do half sizes.I can get away with a seven in a boot/trainer  in the winter,or a six in summer in a sandal.However a ordinary  closed in heeled shoe is  pain to find.

I think it is just a stupid thing! There is a lady that wanders the streets round here, and she is always wearing  socks with sandals, but she is not all there, so I guess she is excused! it looks ridiculous

I voted for Sandals (no socks) although I don't mean Moses sandals....I mean nice ones.  I love flip flops aswell and hate having my feet wrapped up.  I also have a serious shoe addiction which the OH is getting pissed off at at the minute

I walk absolutely everywhere, unless I get a train or lift, nevertheless I expect to be spending most of my Standing Up Outside time walking.  Hence summer Clarks Mary Janes (socks optional) and occasional sturdy leather flip flops. 

Winter = trusty walking boots avec big socks.  Or something a bit more closed in, I once made the mistake of revisiting the polyveldt - big error, no grip - I'd suggest a nice Kicker which will be my next winter shoe of choice for posh occasions when trusty walking boots just will not do.

I realise there are people on here with 70 billion pairs of shoes.

OMG 80 quid for the cheapest pair of desi boots on Clarks site.  They used to be about 3 quid in the Army and Navy.

Trainers are the most comfy   Boots look nice though.  But I went for trainers.

I wear Crocs most of the time except when I go out and I wear sandals in the summer (no socks) or trainers and boots/wellies in the winter

Flip flops are the comfiest footwear in the world imho.  I practically live in them unless it's really cold...bought these Fit Flops this week bloody love 'em
