Any early misty patches will soon disperse leaving a day of sunny spells. Scattered showers will develop, mainly in eastern and northern areas. A few will be quite heavy, but not as intense as on Monday. Feeling warm in sunshine.

Tonight:
Locally heavy rain will spread eastwards across Northern Ireland and Scotland, moving into northwestern Wales and northern England later. Elsewhere it will be dry with clear spells.

Wednesday:
Rain will continue to edge southeastwards across the United Kingdom, although southeastern England will remain dry and bright. Sunny intervals and scattered showers will follow across Northern Ireland and Scotland.
