Your story about the closed roads apricot reminds me about my blonde moment today. I had a similar experience before trying to get to a course. I only knew one route, and it was closed, I ended up being an hour late.

I have since bought a sat nav in case that happens again. I took it today to get to my course. I was half way there when I realised that if I did get diverted, I wouldn't be able to get there because I didn't actually know the address or postcode or even phone number. Lol!

Luckily the roads were all clear.

I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Evening Skip, yesterday and today merged into a haze I reckon. Couldn't get in here at all today, which added to the haze. The jinx remains, and today it was 6s and 7s..and all to do with the new computer, which will take a while to sort out, but what bugged me was that hub wanted to see it working, so it was mayhem here. He who knows nothing about Vista was telling me who does know quite a bit about it what do do! Bugged me off big time.

So, you were saying re roads and your satnav, which can be useful in some circumstances, and glad you got to where you were going eventually. Big Grin

We go to another town one way, and return home on another route, and must remind hub not to use the return route as a huge roundabout is being built and diversion signs are all over the place. That's what caught us out, and ended up in a crawling traffic jam, as I had an urgent need he turned the car and we went into another small town, then down some more roads( we knows the roads you see), and suddenly we were in what looked like wonderland...not a car in sight and fields on both sides of the road...so peaceful. Big Grin Where we are is countryside and you know country roads, and if they start digging them up, or one side traffic only then we have chaos. Haven't seen a road which haasn't been tampered with for years. So, when you see a huge stretch of road being changed into a roundabout( it's needed), then you avoid it like the plague. Told hub I wanted to get back before the Apprentice came on and the way things weren't moving I could have missed it! Big Grin

I was chatting to hubby in the kitchen when I heard a crash in the living room rushed in there to find the pie box in Charlie's (my oldest dog)mouth with bits of box all over the carpet, took the box off her and half the pie is gone. Mad Mad Mad

Wonder if she will be sick, she deserves to be greedy mare Mad

Aaah, poor Charlie, but Andrews is very good, although unsure if it's ok for dogs to have. Ninja However, I can understand your grief. Hug Mitzi had similar tendencies, as soon as you are in and hardly up the stairs, her head was buried in the carrier bag, not that she could open a can though. lol! Big Grin Her other trick was to stop you at the top of the stairs and bumped the carrier bag until you opened it, and when she was satisfied she let you pass. Bloomin' sentry she was. Big Grin

Hi Sos, maybe that's why she ate the pie, cos she knew she was going to be weighed. Ninja But if she's eaten a part of it then it wouldn't show up weighing scalewise, would it, just a thought. Bet she passes. Nod Hug

Lost the post Razzer

Was asking if all the schools have Ball Nights? As we have one every year from the school here, and it was a last night affair, where the teens dress up in formal clothing, then go to London for the razz, come back early morning to their school, and usually cause a riot here, but last night it was quiet except for some cars taking them home, as they come back to the school where they are picked up, in the very early hours. Police were out in force yesterday afternoon, as well as an ambulance and a copter.
