Rain across Scotland and later southwest England, elsewhere showers.

Today:

Outbreaks of rain, mainly light, will move across Scotland and later arrive across southwest England. Remaining areas will have sunny intervals and scattered showers, after early mist and low cloud clears, some sharp showers for a time across Northern Ireland.

Tonight:

Rain already across southwest England will extend northeastwards, turning locally heavy, to cover Wales, Northern Ireland and most of England. Meanwhile the rain across Scotland will slowly die away

Saturday:

Rain, heavy in places, will continue northeastwards to reach Scotland, while clearing eastwards from England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Scattered showers will follow to western areas, especially across northwest England.

Rain, often heavy, will continue north to reach northern Scotland. Brighter conditions with isolated showers will follow to southern areas, clearing the initial extensive hill fog. Across Northern Ireland gales will develop, as showers or rain continue across northern areas.

Tonight:

Rain for Northern Ireland and Scotland, often heavy. Very windy with gales also for Northern Ireland, southern Scotland and northern England. Elsewhere isolated showers in the west, otherwise dry.

Sunday:

Northern regions cloudy with spells of rain, sometimes heavy, with the wind gradually easing. Remaining areas breezy, with sunny intervals, and dry apart for isolated light showers in the west.

Heavy rain in Scotland and western parts of England and Wales will weaken overnight. This will leave light rain across East Anglia and southern parts by dawn. Very mild everywhere.

Wednesday:

A mostly cloudy day with some light rain or drizzle, particularly for Scotland, South Wales and Southern England. Elsewhere should be dry with some warm sunshine developing. Light winds.
