I have messed with my timings this week as my boiler is my hot water as well but gone from having it on first thing mornings to a couple of hours late evening and feel much warmer ....  extra quilt on the bed is helping too

Headline:

Most southern areas dry and bright. Occasional rain in north.

Today:

Starting dry and chilly for most. Cloud and rain across northwestern Scotland and Northern Ireland will spread to northern England and North Wales. Brighter later in Scotland, and southern parts of England and Wales remaining dry and bright this afternoon.

Tonight:

Cloud and rain across central areas and northern areas of England and Wales, and Northern Ireland, will spread northwards across Scotland later. Southern areas staying largely dry with clear spells.

Monday:

Much of England and Wales will be dry and bright, but some rain or drizzle at times in far north and west, and for much of Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Rain in the north, drier and brighter in the south.

Today:

Rain will affect Scotland, northern England, Northern Ireland throughout the day. Elsewhere it remains largely dry although with a risk of scattered showers in places. Brighter conditions expected in the south and southeast by the end of the day.

Tonight:

Many places become dry, with clear skies in eastern and central parts. Rain continues in Northern Ireland, spreading into Wales and southwest England. Winds become strong southerlies across western UK.

Tuesday:

Overnight rain and strong southerly winds continue to move east into central England and Scotland. Much of Wales, Northern Ireland and some parts of Eastern England remain largely dry.

Wet and windy across western Britain and Northern Ireland, though brightening-up in the far west later. Increasingly cloudy and breezy across eastern Britain, but staying largely dry until evening.

Tonight:

Further outbreaks of rain, some heavy, across central and northern UK. Although western districts and Northern Ireland staying mainly dry.

Wednesday:

Wet and windy across northern and eastern Britain throughout Wednesday. Otherwise, generally partly cloudy and breezy, with a mix of sunny intervals and scattered heavy showers.

Northern and eastern Scotland along with eastern England, generally cloudy with outbreaks of rain, some heavy, particularly for southeast Scotland. Elsewhere, sunshine and scattered showers, some of these in the far southwest perhaps heavy and thundery. Mild, but rather windy.

Tonight:

Further rain for eastern England and eastern Scotland whilst southwestern areas have more showers, some of these heavy. Many central areas becoming mostly dry, though perhaps rather misty in places.

Thursday:

Rain across northeast England and eastern Scotland becoming confined to northeast Scotland by day's end. Elsewhere, sunshine and showers, some of these heavy and thundery in the south and west.

couldn't post last week, i was clicking submit and the little cogs would start, and go, and go...
so i gave it a week off. i can see the graphics today which is good but it's still running like broadband was never invented and it's not my pooter cos everywhere else i go is fine.

Clear spells and scattered showers, these still heavy for some southern and western areas, and perhaps prolonged across parts of Scotland. In between some patchy mist or shallow fog.

Friday:

Patchy mist clearing, then another day of sunshine and showers with most of these in the north and east. More general cloud and rain will reach the southwest later. Mild.
