ooh i dunno not too far to start with, we're central to so many nice places. yorkshire dales/moors, northumberland coast, the lakes is only an hour and a half away. we'll ring round a few places on thursday night then bimble off there when mr.shep gets home on the friday.

Yes and I've been to see some of the sites this evening (hence being plagued by midgies)....have to go back to Barn House tomorrow as was too dark to take photos (or to see properly for that matter) but it was amazing. Went to Ring of Brogdar too at about 9 pm so no one was else there (went past it today and there were 2 bus trips so kept going)

morning all
we've been watching for months too di, our budget was ÂĢ300, just got really lucky with this. it's a 1983 eldiss shamal. it's been really well looked after, very dated but we don't mind that. the major fault that seemed to be putting people off was a huge crumple in the front where they had to get out of a flooding campsite in a hurry last year, but it is only a crumple, no tears and it's still water tight, it was also out in the wilds for most people but only 1/2 an hour from us. i missed one that went for ÂĢ250 a few weeks ago and was gutted but we got this for ÂĢ186.
we never went to see it before hand figuring if it went cheap enough, even if we only ran it for 2 years we'd more than get our moneys worth.
all i can say is keep loads on watch within your price range, knocking them off watch as they creep over what you want to pay and dont let a few dints put you off.
also in a month or so less people will be looking to buy and those with them will be looking at paying winter storage so i'd expect people to be selling them.
