Someone at work wasnt feeling very well yesterday morning and I feel a bit like she said she did, I'm ok, probably just tired coz I am sleeping rubbish atm.

And I had 2 glasses of wine last night

It's just this week I've just been waking up and stuff.

ION It's the last day of school today, and as a result I have failed to find a decent bunch of flowers for S as it is her big birthday on Saturday so I'll have to go out a bit earlier and go to Tesco.

Did you watch Top Gear on Sunday? Did I ask you that already

... or just round the corner to Springfields? ... I did watch Top Gear but you hadn't asked me..

btw I tried to find Killers from T in the Park on iPlayer for both BBC 3 and BBC Alba ... one sodding track grrrrrr

I looked round that corner..that was my point, coz it's the last day if school they've been decimated.

Anyway re Top Gear: That loch they were driving past is the one next to my house, the standing stones they showed are the Stones of Stenness, next to my house. The house they went to is in Birsay which is just north of where I am staying.


The hairdresser on the One Show was on Papa Westray last night....might be rethinking my plan not to go now coz the Knap of Howar looked fabulous.

Oh and on Top Gear they took the same route we will be taking and the same ferry.

I did wonder if you had seen all the Orkney stuff ... so if I post you a birthday card on the Scilly Isles....

It says on the website that valid student cards are ok and I have one from Uni (even tho I have a monobrow in the photo ) so I keep meaning to mail them or ring them and ask if it is going to be enough.

I have been weeding...that means I have been taking books off the shelves that havent been issued this century and withdrawing them (well I ahvent done that part yet) and then they will be sent for resale or recycle.


It threw it down here at half 3...just as my daughter and her class mates embarked on an open top bus ride to celebrate their last day of school

And the reason I am committing this terrible sin of chucking out books? A 15 000 pound book order that I spent the last 2 weeks processing....we have nowhere to put the new stuff!

Evening in here... every flipping day has been a lovely day for the most part here this week, come tea-time when we can go in garden or whatever.... pi**in it down!!.. Angel, my daughter works for schools library services... and she had to recycle loads of books this week... My dream job is to work in a library... Hope you feeling better soon.. X to all in here..

Not as many as you might think. Some are really expensive and we had to get multiple copies.

I dunno tbh how many there were in total.

Plenty of exercise in the summer putting them on shelves then?
