Just turned the telly on ... obviously Les Mis should win EVERYTHING, but I really did enjoy Skyfall, and I managed to stay awake through the whole film. So, they deserve this award!!

It was a drama loosely (or perhaps not so loosely?   ) based on the founding of Scientology. It's almost the definition of "art-house movie", but Joaquin Phoenix and Amy Adams were very good in it.

It had a fairly limited release, but got some publicity because it was also being shown in a 70mm format.
