Hi all

I realise its been a while since the last update (Ch4 forums I think) but that's because there hasn't been much to update.

Anyway there was some hoo-hah over mums chemo but she was eventually granted it (bout a month ago now). She just had her first results from her blood test (since starting her chemo) and the doc says it looking good and clear. Don't really know how 'good' that is but its something i suppose.

Obviously I know things can change, so I'm just hoping the chemo carries on doing what it needs to do.

Other than that Mum's doing 'ok'. She gets quite tired and sickly but that's to be expected with the chemo shes on.

I'll try to update a bit more frequently, sorry this one took its time.

Love

Rawky

I'll second that. I'm glad all is going well at the moment. LONG may it stay that way.

I'll echo that too. I did use the C4 forums in the past tho not much so you probably dont remember me. My own mother fought and beat cancer, so here's praying your Mum will be just as blessed. Great news so far and continued good wishes to her. Smiler

I send my bestest regards to you and Mum and wish her a speedy recovery. Hug Hug

Unfortunately she had 2 bouts at the same time, she had a tumour in her Breast and one on her Brain, they managed to remove both though (obviously not her brain, just the tumour).

@forgetmenot

The reason for the delay was that regular chemo (the one thats injected) doesn't reach the brain so they had to put her on a waiting list for a drug called 'Lapatanib', which is in tablet form and is taken every day for 2 weeks then 1 week rest then repeat.

Apparently they only grant this drug if they feel the patient is 'deserving' of it Roll Eyes Thankfully they saw sense otherwise they would have me to answer too Mad
