Have any of you who use Amazon started to receive their Amazon Local emails? I have and I have not even heard of Amazon Local before.

I use Amazon regularly, but haven't heard of Amazon Local.
They usually only email me dispatch or order confirmations.
Amazon Local is in competition to Groupon .

Cheers Erin. I just noticed that they will be sending them out everyday. Seeing as I get a lot of email already I think I will 'unsubscribe'.

I didn't download the app or sign up for anything, although I do shop with Amazon. I guess that's where they got my details from.
Yeah. If you have an account with them then they'll send you these emails unless you opt out of being sent e-mails. You can access these 'DEALS' from their site even if you opt out of the e-mailings.

That sounds like the best idea for me as I have never used things like Groupon or wanted to anyway.
Go to 'customer communication preferences. I opted out of all email communication except for the normal ones you get regarding your orders.

Alternatively I just opened up one of their emails and right at the top is a link marked Unsubscribe

Basically an organization that offers you deals cheaper than going through the companies' own sites.

You have to opt out Cosi , if not then you will get inundated with all sorts of rubbish .
Groupon is quite high profile. You bid for 'experiences' like a meal at a restaurant, a weekend break or a trip to a health farm etc. The appeal is that you are one of a batch of people buying the same service and benefit from the buying power of Groupon who've generated that demand and those customers. Groupon get the commission, the business gets the trade and you get the discount. Amazon Local is on the same business model.
