Amazing what a million dollar campaign can do, and she has already been offered a million bucks for her first interview when she gets back to the states on the private jet that is waiting for her when she walks out of court.

^^^^^ Agree Joe.

My heart goes out to the family of Meredith Kercher, who seems to have been forgotten in all of this.

I`ve followed this case from the start and I haven`t heard anything about a million dollar deal or a private jet. Maybe I`ve missed it.

I first believed that Amanda and Raphael were guilty of "something" but now, after further evidence...I`m seriously doubting it.

Rudy Guede`s dna was found in and on Meredith and his bloody handprints were on her bedroom wall. He`s been jailed for sexual assault and murder..which he eventually admitted to. His sentence was reduced from 30 yrs ( I think) to 16 yrs when he admitted guilt and implicated Amanda and Raphael. Fast track, they call it Italy.

Other dna (the bra clasp...Raphael`s dna seemingly) is now being labelled as contaminated. The forensic team were less than professional. You just have to watch the video to see how inept they were.

The Italian court proceedings have astonished me. It`s like something from a bygone age.

Guilty or not ...witch hunt springs to mind.

Their appeal verdict will given today.

of course  we all feel bad for meredith's family, but if   verdict  is unsafe, which it appears to be, then i seriously doubt they would want the wrong person  banged up.

Absolutely, jackson.

I won't disagree with that.

I also wouldn't want to see a guilty person walk free.

Well articulated Scotty

No matter how unsympathetic + unlikeable a character Amanda Knox comes across as [ and she comes across as a hard hearted little Miss i.m.o ] to be convicted of Meredith's murder, in the UK and US the burden of proof would be beyond a reasonable doubt, to secure a criminal conviction. I don't know about Italy, but surely they wouldn't be that out of step, despite their different legal system.

Theres just not enough proof that she did it.

Thank you rosie.

I`m not sure about that. As far as I`ve seen, the goings on in court (the behaviour of the prosecution in particular) have been out of step and not something that I think would be allowed in our system. Their visciousness has increased since the appeal. She devil is just one example.

Of course, in the end..it`s up to the jury.

Thanks for the clips Scotty - I dunno - prosecution lawyers can be very badly behaved and vicious in the UK too - remember the recent Milly Dowler case? They said the pain they were put through wasn't worth it in the end

Like you say, however, who knows if the Italian jury will buy it / or be fair + objective and consider only the facts.

You`re welcome....

You`re right rosie - it can happen here too. It`s just that when I watch the court proceedings in Italy, it seems almost kangaroo like. I suppose it can`t be really or justice wouldn`t be served... and the world is watching.

Still waiting for the verdict. It`s saying around 2pm ET. I don`t know how to convert that. I`ll keep checking on Youtube.

IIRC, the person who said that wasn't the "official" Prosecution, but Carlo Pacelli - the lawyer who represents Patrick Lumumba,  who was wrongly arrested for the murder after Knox lied to the police.

Not nice, certainly, but you can understand why he might be rather biased under the circumstances...

You`re right Eugene - sorry, my mistake.
