I was convinced that she didn't do it. But after seeing her speech yesterday all I could think was..
"YOU'RE A LIAR! YOU'RE A LIAR! YOU KNOW SOMETHING YOU'RE NOT TELLING THEM YOU SLIMY SCUMBAG LIAR"

And then when I seen footage of her and her new fiancÃĐ walking along all I could think was..
"THERE GOES THAT MURDERER!! YOU GOT AWAY WITH MURDER YOU MURDERING LYING WASTE OF LIFE!"

So now I can't look at her without thinking..
"YOU KNOW GOD DAMN WELL WHAT HAPPENED TO MEREDITH SO STOP BEHAVING LIKE A VICTIM! CONFESS YOU MURDERING MURDERER! CONFESS!! LIAR!! CONFESS!!!!!!"

Those who follow the case often say that Amanda Knox is her own worst enemy: she's a narcissist and whenever she has an audience she just cannot stop talking. However as soon as she opens her mouth it's obvious to everyone that she's lying. it's one of the main reasons why Sollecito refused to give evidence during their trial: Knox had already taken the stand (against advice), couldn't stop talking and did enormous damage to the defence case.

I've seen a lot of discussion that the Italians may have been worried about this, and it may therefore have affected the court's decision, but it really shouldn't have. Knox's PR have repeatedly claimed that the States would never extradite, but it's simply not the case. The States cannot afford to renege on an extradition agreement with another G7 nation (and they'd have had the UK putting pressure on them, too). Remember that the US is still trying to get Edward Snowdon back: they're not going to jeopardize that of the sake of a convicted murder and sex offender (as Knox would have been if the judgement had went the other way). Also Knox has admitted to being on drugs at the time - the States never questions extradition when drugs are involved...

So why am I not seeing something approaching outrage over an injustice across UK media outlets?

Probably because it might look hypocritical. The general level of reporting by the English-speaking media throughout this case has been disgustingly bad. Much of the time they've just effectively reprinted defence press briefings as fact without any checking. Some of it was unbelievably blatant: the Guardian's main reporter on the case for a long time was Andrew Gumbel, who also just happens to be the co-writer of Sollecito's book... (He's currently standing trial alongside Sollecito for multiple alleged defamations and related matters in that book, so who says there isn't Karma?   )

It's only in the last few days that the reporting in the UK has got noticeably better, although I've still noticed a few obvious mistakes, such as references to a "retrial", etc.

Velvet; the US often refuse extradition for citizens to stand trial, but they don't refuse to extradite someone who's been convicted. I can't remember the details, but I think there's only been one case like that in recent memory, and it involved CIA agents. There's no way they could refuse to extradite a convicted murderer and sex offender who had her drug dealer on speed-dial (which, incidentally, led to his arrest and conviction!)

[Having said that: one of the ideas circulating around at the moment is that a behind-the-scenes deal might have done to prevent the US being embarrassed by being asked...]

I will not say she did it, but her & him, and the bloke that admitted to it, in my opinion, all had something to do with it.

Who are you referring to here, Cinds? If you mean Rude Guede, who is currently in jail for his part in the murder, he has never admitted the crime, and is still claiming his innocence. The claim he admitted it is a lie put about by Knox and Sollecito supporters. He has admitted to being present at the cottage, but claims that it was Knox and/or Sollecito who murdered Meredith, while he was in the bathroom suffering the effects of a "dodgy kebab".

BTW, one other person has admitted to being present during the murder: Amanda Knox. In her initial statement to the police she claimed to be present at the cottage when Patrick Lumumba killed Meredith - a false accusation that she was later convicted for.
