I have Sky+, Broadband and Phone for a total of ÂĢ45 (or near enough) a month.  Don't have the movie channels yet and I can't get free internet with them in this area so I pay ÂĢ10 for my BB.  They were the worst company I've ever come across to deal with and it's been one screw up after another with them.  When everything was finally installed and running properly it's been great to have.  They seem to be good at giving you good bargains if you annoy them often enough, I got free phoneline installation because they ballsed up my tv installation and debited my sisters credit card for payment of my account :S  My sister has recently rang them to say she wants free sky+ with no installation fee ( the cheek of her!) and they actually agreed to it!  AND she got free sky movies for 3 months.  I really have to ring up and moan for a better deal tomorrow!

Hmmmm so it's a bit of a mixed bag then..

I'm with Virgin media and used to have the VIP package at 90 odd quid a month, but I didn't make use of all the channels so I reduced the package and now my boy has all the channels in his room and I have none. I dont mind paying 30 - 40 a month, it's just I've heard Sky can offer better value.

I may keep my internet and phone with Virgin and just have Sky for the tele, gawd I dunno there's so many decisions!

Thank you all xx

I've had Sky for about 6 years and haven't really had any problems with them, Customer services are a bit rubbish these days, but had to phone Techy services last week and they were great.

I have all packages and it costs 47.50 per month, want to update to sky + but the deals are a bit expensive, I'm considering ringing them and saying I am thinking of changing to Virgin VIP with the record facility and see what happens.  I don't really think that current customers should have to pay a lot to upgrade.

Wouldn't be without Sky for the sport, films and the Hallmark channel basically!!

That's why my sister rang them up.  She wanted sky+ but they would only do it for an installation fee which she wasn't willing to pay.  So she rang them up and told them to cancel her subsription because she wasn't happy that she couldn't get sky+ wthout having to pay more than anew customer has to.  They rang her back a few days later and offered her it at the same price as new customers.  She said no and told them the only way she would stay was free installation and they agreed.  Might be worth a go for you also.

That's the only thing that's bothering me. My mum's recently changed to Sky and she loves it, except for bad weather when the picture goes (and it's always in the middle of the Weakest Link or summat and she does her nut). I tried setting up a freeview box but the reception was shite. I think I might just have a conversation with my cable people and see what they can offer.

We have sky multi room, one with sky and the other sky plus. Broadband, calls and phone line, with entertainment pack with documentaries. I pay ÂĢ53, I think it's great apart from when it's raining I'm also in an area where it's not possible to have cable or I probably would have had that rather than sky.

why is my text bold
