wilfs a nervous dog-i took him to groomers today for a wash, nails clipped etc...

fetched him at about 2pm

he managed to walk to car a few yards away-then his back legs went-took me 20mins to lift him onto back seat, carried him up the steps when we got back home

i thought he'd be ok after a bit, but nah, he cant walk at all, he's wet himself cos he couldnt stand up

im in pc room now & he's literally crawled & dragged himself by me up a corner

i bought him a ham bone earlier & gave him that & put a bowl of water by him

but he's just lying there, panting really heavily

not good he's wet himself 4 times he cant walk, vet is coming out to him, ive got scooby doo on for him

 I hope the vet can sort him out.

doc-greyhound doc didnt come round but he phoned said greyhounds can be like that ie lose use of legs if theyre traumatised

Pirate I know you've said that you couldn't face getting another dog, but with the way that Wilf is, and your sadness too, please do consider it.  I honestly think it will give Wilf a new lease of life - and you too of course

i slept on the floor with him friday night,lisa got him rescue remedy stuff from chemists saturday morning & gave him double dose, he slept for 10hours straight he wet himself few more times, then got himself outside for another one, came in, she dosed him up again & he slept until this morning

and then dragged himself upstairs & got into bed with me at about 7.30am!!!

we came down about 9am,he ate all his food from yesterday and we've been sat on sofa all day watching cartoons on boomerang channel

he's still not right but so much better

i think he'd had the worlds worst panic attack & was totally dehydrated

i really thought he'd gone lame or something

that rescue remedy did him the world of good,just zonked him out until he recovered

 Glad to hear he's a bit better.

im reporting the place i took him to, no water for any of the dogs,front door open so any of them could escape,he put wilf in a cage that was far too small for him

none of this registered until later, so i feel very guilty about taking him there
