I will kick your butt! I wish I'd used another example now. Like a CAT! You don't buy a cat and not find out how to feed it!

I think part of the problem is that some people have not quit understood that they can use the forum ONLY and dispense totally with all the rest. If they want to do that then I suggest they de-activate and close their PROFILE. (but not their ACCOUNT

I'm sorry to hear that some people aren't happy with LC. I know it is somewhat different, and it's taking some getting used to. It also does seem to be rather dis-jointed, with people here and there, on blogs and in different places. I don't understand it, as the old link from gaga actually directs you to 'this' page here; so I am confused as to why people aren't coming on here. Unless they saw it and simply hated it, and decided that they wouldn't come. Pity really, because if people did come on here, then it could be the same as the old forum really. There are quite a number of posters from gagajoy that don't appear to be here, which is a pity. There's no reason really, why it can't be the same.
I think we have to be careful about making assumptions as to why old FMs aren't coming here. As others have said, the number of FMs - even the regulars - always falls at the end of a series.I'm sorry to hear that some people aren't happy with LC. Although many (including myself) weren't happy at the idea of doing the switchover during the last week of BB10, there was an argument that forcing all FMs to come over before the series end would have helped keep the community together more.

With all due respect I know that. That's what I'm choosing to do .......the thing is - others have found their wings (good luck to them) and have chosen to fly ......they're not here anymore. I guess I'm just a Luddite ................I dont like change.Reference:

Just before BB finished I came over to this site and had a look around, registered, and decided that I may just walk away when BB finished. It looked so alien to me, with so many add-ons that I would never use. I just want a forum, an easy to use forum, because I am not the greatest wizz on computers as it is. It was daunting and confusing when I came over and I really didn't like it. Fear of the unknown was another factor with me because I hate change. But I came on here on Saturday, never having entered any threads on the old GaGa forum about the changeover, or asking how to do things. I never intended to come so it seemed pointless.
But I have found this forum to be relatively easy to use. But this has a lot to do with the threads having been transferred from the old forum. There was a familiarity about it to start with, seeing the Freddie fanclub thread and the others that were a constant feature of page one on GaGa. Seeing some of the familiar names also added to the ease of use. Yesterday, my first day on here, I learned how to post pictures and even utube videos. Yesterday, I learnt how to 'quote' and how to post comments. All this I have done by trial and error. Believe me when I say I am a complete novice on a computer, and GaGa was the only forum I ever used. I have to say that this forum is completely different in layout and format and that has been my biggest stumbling block.
I am sorry other FMs are experiencing difficulties with usage, and I do hope that they can sort them out. I am posting this as my personal opinion of the new forum, and I intend to get better at using it as time progresses. But it will still be a case of trial and error with me until I get familiar with it and feel confident that I am doing things right.

men putting up shelves
Yes! Men should put the shelves up. When I have been single and required a man to come round with his black & decker to do me shelves I found that targetting a newly single one.... and offering him a meal (something cheap & simple... e.g. spag bol) tends to do the trick!Reference:

Don't we all darling. But what is this word "share" you talk of?
@ Twee Surgeon.
That's the spirit!
Nothing ventured nothing gained...Shy kids don't get fed etc etc etc (insert your own clichÃĐd stock phrase here)

I was gonna argue against that... til I actually thought about it... that said, I am sure just the spag bol would have sufficed!

Doesn't a cup of tea and the promise of a hob nob work any more? I didn't realise men had become so high maintenance.

Agree with skylark. Well said twee surgeon. Guess it just takes a bit of getting used to, but this particular forum seems pretty much like the other, but I can understand why people are a tad daunted and unhappy. I just hope that they stick around and get used to it. It would be nice to have it buzzing like the other one used to do.

And if in really serious doubt, after having pressed too many buttons and causing serious overload, log out and come back in again. It clears everything and you can have a fresh start. That is always my tried and tested way of clearing all my errors.
