I'm surprised she has left a show that gave her a leg up tbh

She was great as a contestant, dire as a judge.

She forgot that she was an amateur - so basically just an enthusiastic viewer like the majority of us.  If she'd have stuck to that line then she'd have been ok.  But she didn't.

Oh jeez NO!  I cannae bear her!  She is soooooo annoying!  Her laugh grates on me like nails down a blackboard!  I can't watch it now.

And no, never could take Alesha's comments or marks seriously, but I did used to love it when she floundered because Bruno had knicked her prepared notes...

I'm delighted she's gone and, as I don't watch BGT, I can safely say that BGT's loss is Strictly's gain.  She's probably a nice person but so irritating as a 'judge' with her inane remarks about 'totally owning' dances etc.

I have pretty much gone off BGT anyway  It was good for the first couple of years, but it's not up to much now imo.

BGT is my fave show! Much more interesting than the X Factor for me..... but I didn't watch it last year cos firstly ...The Hoff (no amount of vomit smilies can do it justice!!) ...secondly no Mr Cowell

...... and to top it all off SIMON'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

2012 is starting to show promise.

so glad to hear i'm not alone .....................I love alesha too. I think she'll be brilliant on BGT.

I can't say I'll be sorry to see Alesha leave SCD.

Maybe she will be better on BGT.

I don't watch Strictly Yogi..... but I've seen bits and pieces and it always seemed wrong to have someone on the panel who wasn't an expert, so I think it's a good move for everyone concerned.  BGT doesn't have to worry about that aspect of course. 

We are more than willing to donate her to you (BGT) Ducky.....

Let's face it, she's bound to be an improvement on The Hoff.

Amazes me the hype for the judges of these programmes takes over from the competition of the contestants .............who really cares who judges?, the public vote anyway 

Probably because the judges can make or break a programme......for some people anyway..... they had the power to make me turn off the X Factor this year that's for sure

I suppose it depends on your motivation for watching....... but my motivation has never really been the acts ..... it's watching the judges reactions to them. It makes me larf!

I understand what you are saying Ducky, but it makes me a bit sick that failing in talent celebrities are rising in fame (and cash) at the expense of us.

It doesn't really bother me to be honest Syd..... cos I can't seem to think of anyway they take money from me......and I don't begrudge anyone a bit of fame, there is not one part of me that envies them it.  *shudders*

It never bothered me either Ducky at the start...........I remember "Actors" moaning about the new "Reality TV" taking over TV......and I thought "Rubbish" they are just "Luvvies" having a moan about the fact that they are not on screen.

BUT........after watching a lot of TV recently, I think the "Luvvies" may have a valid point.

I think there's plenty of room for the "luvvies" and the reality "trash". Freedom of choice and all that. I think on a whole TV is still pretty well balanced.

Except I would like weekly episodes of Doctor Who please!!!!!

And maybe throw Bill Turnbull off the BBC Breakfast sofa.

Alesha quit yesterday as Simon has managed to get her a £350K deal   more than 3 times more than the £100K she earnt from the BBC 

Cowell also announced he will put up £250,000 of his own cash to double the prize to £500,000.

I think Simon will be back for X Factor too this year 

money talks i guess  she's joining another panel where she has no experience  wonder who the BBC will get too replace her

she does have singing and song writing experience 

rumour has it today that maybe Emma as she has lost her DOI judging seat but there are several online polls suggesting maybe an ex pro dancer could get the job

And I saw a report that Kara Tointon  and Karen Hardy  are up as replacements for Alesha on SCD.  Surely the Beeb will replace Alesha with a real pro this time..?  There's also Ola Jordan, Chelsee Healy and Jennifer Grey being mentioned.
