OOh that's very good of you muf, cheers
And ska/punk sounds just up my street.
Slinki it's just ooooh aceness innit? Sweater Song is in my all time top songs ever.
Mary, I debated about having Bloc Party in there. Though I am late to that album so I may have to listen to it a few more hundred times before it really gets under my skin.

It's one of those ones that there's not a song on it you'd skip past! Sweater Song is magic tho Reference:

I really love it, they were definitely the best band I saw at Glastonbury as well, they're fantastic. OHH and I want Editors-The Back Room too

I've got it on now, I just had to listen to it again. You're right, every song's a winner....there aren't may albums like that...even some of my faves have at least one song I skip or feel it could have done with out. Even on Rumours I'd rather have had Silver Springs (which is on the Deluxe reissue) than Songbird

It's just all brilliant. The only other album I'm like that with is Teenage Fanclub - Bandwagonesque. Everything else is Yaaay! Yaaaayyy! yeah well I spose.. Yaayy! etc..

For me on the "colour" albums, I go Blue, Red and then Green. I know the Red album wasn't as popular with some but for me I just loved it and The Greatest Man That Ever Lived is just genius...I once saw a short vid of Rivers explaining the process and what genre each section is meant to represent and it just made me *swoooooooon* at his talent. I don't know anything about Teenage Fanclub...like NOTHING...yet I listen to "Ain't That Enough" often, really often...but for some odd reason I've not checked out any of their other stuff.
Jonono from the forums went to see them support Edwyn Collins a while back, she was telling me about it, said it was a really emotional but fantastic night.
muf. That is really, really nice of you. Thank You
I always love discovering new stuff. Cheers

I'm mince at doing that stuff that muf does but have a listen to Thirteen - brilliant song " Radio" on it. Like the list by the way muf! ( except I'd have had Elephant in there!)

To be honest Slinks 2003 was a tough year, The Bluetones brought out the excellent Luxembourg, Amy Winehouse had Frank , Rancid - Indestructible,KoL Youth & Young Manhood, Starsailor and Turin Brakes brought out ace albums and PunkoRama released vol 8 ...And Suede brought out their GHits!!But as good as Elephant is... it isn't Absolution
muf, I've found Whitmore on spotify too now *dances* I am liking
Do you like/have you heard of The Gaslight Anthem? Their album was one of my top 3 of 2009.

Radiohead from Glasto too
I want to see them so so so much, or even just Thom Yorke
I first heard them watching Glasto on telly...then I ran in to find them online. Listened to the album loads since then. It is ace
I love Arcade Fire's "Intervention" genius anti-war lyrics and one of my best tunes of this decade if not necessarily the best album.
Hey Carni
Me thinks me should be putting a 120 albums down, but that is too difficult, so many good ones suggested, that I forgot about
Ok why not make it top 20 or 30 albums of the decade? Might be able to get the Tweenies in then

Good idea, although no matter how long the list is the tramps of leon would still not make it
Meh. We can't all have taste, present company accepted.
Hi Cigs. LTNS
Album of the decade?
Well, this is difficult. It's a toss up between "Bubble Mix: The Ultimate Aquarium Remixes Album" and "Aqua Remix Superbest". I am surprised no-one has yet mentioned these, especially yourself , but as you admit, you have forgotten so many... eating fish helps with this.
Both have pleasing cover art (which obviously enhances the listening experience).............
But, after much thought, I am going to plump for the Bubble Mix as although both albums feature Barbie Girl (Perky Park Club Mix) and Barbie Girl (Original Extended Mix), Bubble Mix has the additional track: Barbie Girl (Dirty Rotten Scoundrel Clinical 12" mix).

Hello Bunny, hmmm, do these actually qualify?
I mean are they norties albums in the truest sense of the word?

Is that your ONLY objection?
As you may have noticed, since I killed the thread posted, no-one else has submitted any further albums for inclusion.
Everyone has obviously recognised that mine was the definitive choice.

Interesting thread .... can't think what my choices would be ... I would have to take quite some time to consider but I love reading other peoples choices
I couldn't possibly name one. Lots of great music but no real outstanding all the way through album. Mebbees that Amy Winehouse one.
