This will probably sink without trace, but heyho....

What would you say have been your 5 albums of the decade?

If we get enough replies, I might even try and come up with a spreadsheet and come up with a forum list of favourite albums

Having thought long and hard, I would have to list mine as follows....

1.  Damien Rice - O
2.  Snow Patrol - Final Straw
3.  Artic Monkeys -  Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
4.  Lily Allen - Alright Still
5.  Evanescence - Fallen

Replies sorted oldest to newest

Going off on a slight tangent my mother has just told me of an incident she had in HMV today. She is trying to buy the Killers CD for her neighbour, but she couldn't remember the name of the band, so she waltzes into HMV and says to the pierced spotty kid behind the till :'Oh hello. I'm looking for an album. I cant remember who it's by, but it's something to do with killing' Spotty kid looks confused and says 'erm, do you know what type of music it is' My mum: 'Oh yes! It's that Indian music'

She thought Indie music was short for Indian music

She spent over 40 minutes having this poor kid looking for Indian music that talked about death

In no particular order

Foo Fighters - The Colour and Shape...I just looked it up and it was 1997, which is two years out so I hope it still counts

Duffy - Rockferry

Robbie Williams - Sing when you're Winning

Alanis Morrissette - Jagged Little Pill...that was 1997, I thought it was much earlier than that

Picture House - Shine Box
