So sad to hear this news. He passed away today.
Loved him as Professor Snape, but my fav performance of his was in Truly, Madly, Deeply.

One of my fave films, Cinds - sad news indeed. Not been a good week for losing people
Just came through on my mobile another shocker @ only 69.
Loved the man's voice. Another sad loss.
*I have no emoticons as I am mobile but rest assured I'm putting in a sad face*

i liked Truly, Madly, Deeply as well and Alan Rickman in Robin Hood was brilliant -
Galaxy Quest and Die Hard for me, two quite contrasting roles.
What sad news. Such a versatile actor [ I loved him in Sense and Sensibility ]. RIP Alan Rickman xx
One of my favourite actors. Sad news.
I loved him in Die Hard too. Fellow card carrier - sadly missed.
Really shocked and saddened to hear this news today. RIP Alan.
So many great roles, and only last year Rickman returned as a director with "A Little Chaos". It looks like his last film will be as the voice of the Blue Caterpillar in "Alice Through the Looking Glass" out this Summer.
It's been a bad week (and incredibly Rickman and Bowie were the same age), but one of the few things that's been cheering me up today has been the number of online fans quoting him from "Galaxy Quest". Unlike his character Alexander Dane, I'm sure he'd have appreciated the sentiment: there's a lot of love out there at the moment...
Awww this makes me sad
Rest In Peace. Always.
I fell for him in Truly Madly Deeply...what's going on, David Bowie and now Alan Rickman, so sad.
I wonder if the BBC will reshow Truly Madly Deeply in the near future as it was produced by them originally.

I'm rather hoping that they show Die Hard and Robin Hood, too. I've always liked a bad lad and nobody could do villainy quite like Alan Rickman.
Rest in Peace, Alan
