We have had nothing but trouble from the children that live on the same street as us ever since we moved in, they have thrown things at our windows, our cars, our front door. We gave up asking them not to sit on our gate and fence because it made them do it more and we pretty much ignore them now unless we have to ask them to move so we can drive out (yes we have to ask them they don't have the brains to think oh car moving i should get out of the way). But they have now decided that playing knock and go run is the best option to get a rise out of us...only they dont just knock and go away they keep knocking. Really bad time, we are revising, and have got exams so are not in the best of moods and I swear to god they do it again and I'm just throwing something at the door.

Awwww I feel sorry for you Hug We have had similar problems in the past, so I know how frustrating it can be. We have a large, open plan front lawn and they seemed to think they had the right to use it as a cut through, or a football pitch!!!!

Do you know the parents at all??? Are they the sort you can talk to, or the sort where you can see where the kids get it from????

My friend had trouble like this and the police were surprisingly helpful and visited the families....they made it look like a neighbourhood thing and there was no comeback at all! They are happy to advise on this sort of thing...if it carries on, it may be worth considering...

Hug, theres always some Chavs around with nothing to do they get their silly little kicks out of it, but they'll get a taste of their own medicine one day. Some of them are allowed to do what they want and hang around until the late hours, the Police don't even do nothing and their Parents also seem not to care. The Police also meant if they see you out on a School day etc at night take you back to your parents, which they probably have given up doing now.

They live opposite and are exactly the type they get it from. The police used to walk around the streets and stop them but they havent been around for ages.

Hug i think one of the mothers did get a shock the other day when she saw her child deliberately stand behind a reversing car...but still they are allowed out til all hours, the language they use is awful, they smash glass bottles in the street

Then I'd go with the Uni/Rugby lads...fill them up with a bit of alcohol and plant them outside offenders houses until they can stand no more!

I wanted to paint our fence just before the schools come out so that as soon as they sat down they would be smeared with black paint, but my flatmates think it wont work...

Nod. It's the lack of discipline or guidlines really, most teens are smart enough to know whats right and whats wrong, just a shame some don't.

When I lived back up there (in a flat) we had a minor problem with some little runts hanging outside our door, smoking, pressing the button to the intercom thing. The ringleader lived just up the road in a very nice place but him and his mates wanted somewhere hidden where they could smoke so they took to our place.

They lasted about a month. They made the mistake of actually tagging our door just as someone was coming home. Scruff of the neck, frog marched to their own front door and hairdryer the parents with threats of asbo. They never showed up again. Laugh

two words, "angel eyes"

http://www.milestonesafety.com/cybereye.html

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15125

set it up, and it will video them whenever they enter your garden, hand the card to the police or council, let them deal with it.

ps to them it just looks like a screw so they would never notice it.

edit, just looked its as cheap as ÂĢ85 on ebay

When I used to play Football in the street with my bros and our mates if we kicked the ball over the fence, luckily we had kind neighbours who understood we was only playing. But when we played in the street, most people didn't have a problem apart from a couple of the old people who wanted us to go and play elsewhere rather than outisde our home where our mom knew what we was doing Mad.
