Tries to remember when I bought mine over six years ago .I think I just plugged it in and used it.I'm sure full instructions will come with it.I had to use it right away my old one broke in the middle of July! I farmed it's contents out to relatives and neighbours,then  collected it all back again.

Thats what i was going too do with my food but if it needs to be plugged in for abit before use i'll need to keep the old fridge/freezer in the kitchen abit longer  the freezer door is currently being held shut with cello tape 

It does say they have to settle for a bit. The delivery men will tell you how long. But mine was broken so I ignored him

That's what i was thinking too  it's a pain trying to get into the freezer through all the tape keeping it shut, it looks like a crime scene  and why do the say delivery between 7am and 2pm 

let it stand around for   5 - 24 hours and then plug it in.

I just plugged mine in and used it straight away.  Not sure if that is correct but all was fine for me

Plug and go for the freezer in the garage too 

The advice I had 2 weeks ago with my new freezer was to let it stand for 24 hours before plugging it in

  no and I'm really disappointed that Denis Leary (comedian who does Clarence's voice) isn't there when I open it either
