I admit that I can't answer any of your questions but the last one Blush

Most phones I know have a Bluetooth device that connects your phone and computer together so you can transfer photos from your phone to your computer. Another method is a kind of "dock" that does the same thing really.

Hope my help wasn't useless Ninja Good luck finding the right phone though Hug

I find the Samsung phones offered by Virgin the best (have had three)..........you can get a fairly cheap one if all you want is Pay As You Go (get one that has 3-5 Megapixel for good pics) and it will come with a lead that connects phone to computer that you can upload your pics (software disc is included and very easy to navigate and use) hope this helps
oakiuk
Mike you can pick up phone's cheap enough if it's just for the basic texts, calls, pictures.

As you'll know i'm not very techy either but I use a Nokia 6300. I've always has Nokia phones as these are the easiest to work (to me anyway) Blush

Also, for uploading pics to the PC as said you can get a bluetooth USB thing that goes into the side of your PC, make sure the Bluetooth's on on your phone and your PC should pick up your phone and phone should pick up the PC so you can link and transfer data.

I had a bit trouble with the Bluetooth on my phone not picking up my laptop so I gave up and just used the USB cable which came with my phone and "drag and drop" any pics, music etc from the phone to the laptop Thumbs Up

Also, if your phone comes with a memory card so you can store more, you can take the memory card out and put it into one of those things (can't remember the name) then plug it into the usb slot in your computer.

Hope SOME of this makes sense - and hurry up and get a mobile! wavey

take a long look at chinese mobile phone, they are half the price of uk models and will offer the obvious phone/sms/mms/ photo and video beyond that even the basic ones have built in mp3 and video players (with micro sd memory card expansion) prices start at around ÂĢ35 including shipping. they also frequently come with a spare battery, all are usb charged and will connect to your pc by the same usb cable with no drivers needed just plug in and its drag and drop or they can use bluetooth with a cheap ÂĢ2 dongle on your pc.

dont forget most mobile companies will offer you a free payg sim card if you ask them.

if you want details of a few places to buy from pm me.
