Have you tried using a VLC player Yellow Rose? They are free to download and the you simply click 'media'> then 'open network stream' and then enter http://go.redirectingat.com/?i....co.uk%2Fprivate.php

Oh thanks for that Kimota I have VLC, problem is I can't get the link to paste in the URL box. Is there supposed to be that gap in the link with the dots? appreciate your help

Think we're related, erin ! My mum used to freak if anyone used the phone when there was a thunderstorm as well

That's quite wise - the storms last week, my boss's phone box blew out the wall, the wee box in the street got hit by lightening.    A house in the town also got hit and went on fire.  They just got their phones back yesterday.

You're a little ray of sunshine at times, Kaff..!

I'm petrified of it....I went missing during a storm when I was a kid, my mum called my dad home from nightshift worried sick, they found me curled up in the electric cupboard under the stairs  Of all places to hide!

That reminds me of the time I got a new outfit for Easter and when we got back from mass we were allowed to play out,we played hide and seek and I hid in the coal bunker.I got battered.

My outfit was a lime green cape and jokey hat to match

You know the story that the worst thing you can do in an electrical storm is to be under a tree? Well the last time I experienced a massive one, (lightning every few seconds, no discernible time between the thunder and lightning)...this was our accommodation for the night

I once was sitting eating my dinner one day and a strike of lightening got really close, my plate of food hit the ceiling and I scarpered into the hallway for 5 hours, the dog looked at me like I was a nutter cos she couldnt get to the food that just got chucked across the room................

or maybe it was a wasp............... anyway, I was stuck in that hallway for hours before someone eventually came to the rescue
