The full version of The Red Flag goes:

The workers' flag is deepest red,
It shrouded oft our martyred dead;
And ere their limbs grew stiff and cold
Their life-blood dyed its every fold.

CHORUS:

Then raise the scarlet standard high;
Beneath its folds we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.

Look 'round, the Frenchman loves its blaze,
The sturdy German chants its praise;
In Moscow's vaults its hymns are sung,
Chicago swells its surging song.

CHORUS:

Then raise the scarlet standard high;
Beneath its folds we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.

It waved above our infant might
When all ahead seemed dark as night;
It witnessed many a deed and vow,
We will not change its color now.

CHORUS:

Then raise the scarlet standard high;
Beneath its folds we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.

It suits today the meek and base,
Whose minds are fixed on pelf and place;
To cringe beneath the rich man's frown,
And haul that sacred emblem down.

CHORUS:

Then raise the scarlet standard high;
Beneath its folds we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.

With heads uncovered, swear we all,
To bear it onward till we fall;
Come dungeons dark, or gallows grim,
This song shall be our parting hymn!

CHORUS:

Then raise the scarlet standard high;
Beneath its folds we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.

Voted Lib Dem, its more of a case of stopping conservatives winning now. A vote to labour in my area is a wasted vote.
I know rather a lot of people in neighbouring constituencies who are doing just that. Makes me wonder how many people would vote differently if we had a different system, (i.e. the party of first choice rather than tactically.)

Was going to vote labour but looking at it now it would just be a wasted vote, my family think I am voting labour but I told them its a real waste in the area I am in, if theres any point in me voting then I may aswell go lib dem. Labour are in favour and fund childrens centres alot, a sector which my family is heavily involved with. If conservatives got in I expect half my family could soon be out of a job. Labour stand no chance with the area I am in, its between conservatives and lib dems really.

So you don't live in Wigan as your profile says then?
Not now no, cant afford to pay the rent so myself and my brother now share a flat in Preston. Had to move out at the weekend, much better area around here. Not something I would share with my Dad either, all hell would break loose if he knew I can't afford to pay my rent.

But labour got in there last time with 50.5% of the vote
Im on the outer ring of Preston supercal, My vote isnt cast in the city of Preston, mine is in the ribble valley which is full of tories. Just yesterday Nigel Evans was around here, seemed alright to speak to, still not voting for him though. You can spot a difference aswell from here to Wigan, its a poor area in wigan... where as here, well...just down the road its full of snobs.
