do you know i've never been punting, got a phobia of dirty rivers since I was in Americi and went canooning, it turned over and there were poisonous snakes in it never swam so fast in all me life! all me bf was worried about was the beer that had gone overboard

Then straight after easter right up to the summer holidays. Then after the holidays up till about October when we always have great weather. It's just easier when it's slightly less crowded and you can really enjoy things more without it being really really busy.

My parents took us there many years ago, a couple of times, well near there, a place called Wisemans Bridge, by Saundersfoot.

We used to go to Tenby and take the boat over to Caldey Island where the monks lived, best plain chocolate I ever tasted came from them monks!

How grim is it out of season? Is it like seaside towns.... I have family in Bridlington... and winters can be... harsh!

Its a shame those big hotels that are empty and derelict, I would imagine it was a booming resort at one time.
We visited in May and some of the character's there looked abit dubious, sitting on the bit of a beach, with cans of beer, letting their dogs foul on the beach.

I don't care if it's cheaper where you come from, if you don't like it please go back home and moan about it there (which you will inevitably do anyway) And yes our cheapest main course is £9.00 and the most expensive £25.00 (Lobster) If you want cheaper go to a Witherspoons and get a microwave meal for £5.

Also, when it is raining there is not much for the kids to do. With the introduction of the internet I would strongly advise you to research where you are visiting and find out how much things cost and what there is to do for the kids. It's not MY FAULT you have no imagination and have to use theme parks and such to keep your own kids amused.

It's also NOT MY FAULT THE WEATHER IS BAD!!!! Do I look like Michael fookin Fish? Eh?

Also YOUR SAT NAV (TWAT NAV) is only a guide and should not be relied upon 100%. If you see a lane that you don't think your car can fit through, but your twat nav says it's the right way. Please get out the car and check first, don't just drive down the lane and then complain when you get stuck and trash your new car.

So to sum it all up, you really want to save yourself a lot of trouble next year and just book to go abroad anyway. It will work out cheaper, and if you are just going to go on holiday to moan about something, at least abroad the locals won't understand what you are saying.

I would recommend HillHead Caravan park. Great location and has excellent facillities like a swimming pool etc, easy to get to Paignton for the Zoo and the Quay West water slide park. Also all beaches are within a 20 min drive and you are right next to Dartmouth/Kingswear for the river trips and steam trains. Also it's slap bang in the middle of all the National Trust footpaths and right on the one the consider to be the best in the country. Perfect!
