They did good ditty, all achieved or bettered their target grades which means a positive value added which means the head will be pleased too. Big Grin

Well done to all the FM's and FM-ette's who have done so well and all the parents who are so rightly proud of your bubbas!

I got my first set of KS2 SATs results this year and god knows that was scary enough! (It was 5's all around though - phew!)

PS Moomin - I hope you're OK. Even if it didn't go as well as you were hoping don't worry - there's still plenty of time to make it good - I failed but took a foundation year at Uni and passed that with flying colours instead and went onto a normal degree course. It also gave me a vital extra year to decide what I was doing!

Out of curiosity, how many mock SATs did he have to do? If he did any at all.

He's living with his dad so I'm not always 100% clear but I know he did mocks and I think he did all of them. He also did CATs as well but I haven't had results for those and I'm not even quite sure what they are and what they're for.

I just wondered cos our poor kids did 3 lots of mocks for SATs! Disappointed

And as for CATs...never even heard of it. Confused

Also our kids did their 11+ in October last year. That was nerve wracking too.

The CATs I got a vague explanation that they tested potential rather than what they had learnt - iirc my son's Secondary (John Port in Etwall nr. Derby) uses those rather than the SATs to put them ins ets next year.
