yeah that's what my son ended up doing by going to Sussex, close enough to get home in about 90 minutes if needs be,....and one of the girls he used to do ahtletics with went there so the two of them found their feet together.

Thanks livvie, I woke up a few times in the night thinking about it, same every year, you'd think I'd be used to it after 16 years! Roll Eyes

There really is no buzz like seeing the looks on their faces when they see all their hard work has paid off.

And congrats to your son too. Hug Don't forget to get him to sign THE contract Wink

I hereby promise to keep my mum in the style to which she'd like to become accustomed when I'm earning loads of money.

Ditty....drag your daughter down there.Big Grin Valentine

Hubby's run her down there..... she's obviously been in the house too much over the summer, cos she wanted me to take her down so I could GO IN WITH HER!!

If she gets her grades next week she leaves home in a couple of weeks fgs!!!

So hubby & I implemented some tough love... he has taken her down there.... she is supposed to be bringing the envelope back for me to open!

I keep telling her that if she's gonna flunk anything... this is the one to flunk (cos its the GCSE grades she needs).... but she is wailing about "what if she gets a B" in a AS level... at 16!

Am actually shitting it now.... she sets her standards way too high.....

I will keep ya posted!

*wonders if its too early for a drink.... realises it is... trundles off for another coffee*

Well it is technically after 12 Ditty, a little cheeky drink wouldn't harm.Big Grin

But wait for the results.

My daughter is the same, she's going to yr 10 in September but they sat one GCSE (Science) in yr 9 and they pick up their results next Thursday. She thinks she's only going to get a B and she's not happy. I told her as long as it's not a fail....not to worry.

Kids eh.

How daft, I've just read through all of this thread and I had butterflies in my tummy for you all as I got further in! Laugh So pleased for all of you who've had the fantastic results you were wanting. You should all be proud of your kids for working so hard, their teachers for getting them there and yourselves for providing the loving support needed. Genuine congratulations to all and good luck to those still waiting. Clapping Hug Valentine
