Anyone looked at the UCAS site to track their application??(Or their kids). Will it simply say in words of one syllable...'You have a place' or 'You have no longer got an offer'??
We're having trouble getting on tracking atm..and dont know what we're looking for when we get there!!

Anyhow....good luck to everyone.Either way there will be life changing decisions to be made in lots of homes Smiler

Maybe the trick is to put your first choice as second choice and you'll deffo get it.

No...I'll get me coat..........

We have been trying for ages to get on - my son has actually got on to his page now, but there are no updates - does that mean he hasn't got a place - willl it only update if he has got in?

I should imagine Moomin that everyone is trying to get on now so that may be the problem....I think it should tell him one way or the other no just say nothing.

He refuses to go to school until we have found out from the UCAS site, which leaves me all of a doodah - I can't concentrate on anything this morning until I know one way or the other!! Mad

We tried looking last night and all it came up as was the page with the offers on.It wouldnt go any further so we werent sure whether it was having trouble loading or whether updating was in progress.

It will say one way or another if the offers withdrawn or a place has been offered.Smiler

This is very true,Dan.
My daughters made contingency plans to work if she fails and may even look around for alternative ways of studying Smiler

He just doesn't want to face his mates if it's bad news Frowner until he has had a chance for it to sink in.

But if he can't get in to check they won't have been able to either.

Shes going to Southampton to read Philosophy Smiler

Moomin, the UCAS site says 'Congratulation, you have a firm offer of a place',but she went to school to double check her results.

Cant tell you how pleased we are...and we've always said its not the be all and end all of everything...yet now shes got it,its great!

Congrats swg and to your lad rosgirl Smiler

If they have got in the sentence starts with the word congratulations! My daughter has got in, her best friend has'nt so she has gone down to school early but they can't get results until 11 o'clock. Not good because the universities open at 8.30 and if they're one grade off they need to phone because they may still get in to their prefered course.

We've checked the UCAS site and my daughter got in but if they're a grade out the place will not be confirmed and they have to phone the university to see if they've got in.

What a coincidence my daughter has a place to do philosophy at Sussex.

Its only an hour away,so far enough to be independent and near enough for calls for emergency rations!!

She knows a couple of people who went last year,so there will be a couple of familiar faces about.

Thanks for all the good wishes.Get your lad along to school Moomin.Sure he'll be fine..but if not sooner he puts wheels in motion, the better Hug
