bold as brass, having a nibble from my kitten's food. She all coy and cute. Tail wrapped round her like butter wouldn't melt. She knows him, doesn't she? She might even have told him to come in once the old bag is asleep!. Well, I'm not. Now what?

A grey cat did that to me in the summer (back door was open) I screamed the bloody place down (I have a phobia of cats) I was alone, not a clue what to do. It looked at me with disgust and haughtily left.
The other week we had a neighbours pet rabbit in our garden eating the herbs Soppy child brought it indoors coz it was raining.

I wish I knew, he's only been polite and showed me his back side. I expect they're doing the paso outside as we speak.

Jonesy, she will be done in the next few days or I'll be across the road talking to the neighbours.
Seriously, I don't think she has come into her first season yet. They make the most awful row and I'd know. She is still very content and peaceful. I think I've got a bit of time to get her sorted out.

stonksy that is amazing, they don't usually care about family ties. I had a ginger tom and a little allsorts coloured cat (loved her). Anyway, they had kittens, he didn't care at all and my other little tom killed the kittens because he was so jealous. I had to give him to my best mate, otherwise I'd have strangled him. Liquorice (allsorts) was looking for her babies for weeks. I do not believe that cats forget in a matter of minutes. It was heartbreaking. I still hate him even though he's dead now. It all happened about 25 years ago.Velvet, he has tried before, but he seems to be more emboldened now.

They are a bit mad. My kitten is completely domestic, but when I left her in the early days without the window open, I'd come back to the biggest devastation you can think of. The curtains where down, Books everywhere, everything swiped off the TV. I never understood that a tiny 4 month old kitten could do so much damage. I learnt my lesson and decided to let her out, crossed fingers, spent an evening on here with Izzy and prom waiting for her to come home and all has been well since then. Edit: I wanted to say that I really believe cats will remember when you've done them a good turn, they might be aloof most of the time, but they know and appreciate it and give it back in some sort of way.

Stonks, you have to excuse my ignorance please. I know some people have cats that never go out, but I've never understood how that works. Are they a special breed? It's just like I said up there, if I didn't let Mutley out, she'd be screaming the place down and she has come from parents who have been with people all their lives, so it's probably different.
my daughters cat (which somehow remained when my daughter moved out) goes in and out constantly throughout the day but is always home in time for bed, we often have next doors cat coming in, usually for a bite to eat and a play but my cat ignores him.

My niece is getting her Bengal kitten tomorrow (Hugo)He will be a house cat. Her and her partner are dead excited. The guys that breed them are responsible breeders, they have home visits and my niece has been visiting them once a week to let the kitten get used to them. The breeders have wormed ,vaccinated him etc. They are more like dogs than cats,in the way they play, they play fetch etc and love water.Cost her ÂĢ350.00 mind.
That's not him by the way, just what they can look like, you get paler versions too.

They are a lovely breed Katty..one of my other cats plays like a dog, he's always walking around the house with a pen or a straw on his mouth....
That's what the guys that breed them said, they love to fetch and wander around behind you wanting to play. She saw the the mum and dad,"Hugo" has a sister and my niece's pal has fell in love with her but she has three cats already.

My cat only goes out to do her business, then comes straight back in, she's just not interested in being outdoors at all. The first time she went out, as a kitten, she jumped off the wall down onto next doors oil tank and really struggled to get back up again. Maybe that scared her, dunnoHere's "Hugo" my niece's Bengal Kitten. He's very bendy in that 2nd picture!

My cat is like that. I had 4 at one point. The oldest female would go outside for a wander but always came home if it was windy, snowing, raining etc. Snob. The male would wander for days and come back exhausted and sleep for days The other 2 females were never interested in going out. Even with the door wide open. Sometimes a wee wander round the garden but never further than the fence.
I'm beginning to think that I've aquired another cat. He's been in every day and almost jumped onto my lap at lunchtime. Madam doesn't lift a finger to chase him. I don't know who owns him and I don't like chasing him out. Too soft.
Posted a 2nd pic of "bendy" Hugo.

Cologne - he obviously likes you! Cats choose us rather than the other way around
Yes Velvet he is a beauty.I've yet to see him in the "Flesh".he's settled in well, the guys that bred him own the mum and dad as pets as well as breeding from them. The dad is large, but "Hugo" is going to be larger,Bengals are long and lean, like mini leopards.

Lovely pics, katty, he seems to have settled in
Veggie, I think you are right. He clattered around this morning when I was half asleep and Mutley was lying on my feet. I can't believe that she doesn't want to chase him off.
Cologne..she "Fancies" him....

Is he actually a stray Cologne? You said something earlier about the neighbours across the road so is he theirs?
Katty - so glad your bunny seems to be picking up. I saw you'd posted in the other thread that he was feeling better

You've got two cats now col
And as someone said, cats can pick their owners

I don't know veggie, I have seen him before I had my kitten, so he must be a neigbour's cat. I haven't got the puff to go round the neigbourhood and ask whom he might belong to. I try not to encourage him, but the window is open, I'm friendly and there is food.

Ah ok Cologne thanks. The only problem with undoctored Tomcats is that their wee smells so bad and they fight so if he decides to move in you might have to snip him.
But he could be one of those six dinner Sid types - meal at every house

My niece is getting Hugo "Done" at six months old,he's 13 weeks just now. He's a pet, they have no plans to use him for breeding.Even though he looks like champion.
I really think that the tom has been done, he shows no interest in Mutley, just seems to like our company. What do I know? Mutts is going to be done on Tuesday, poor wee thing, I hope she appreciates it.
