thank you
Hoochie, you may see that the film forum has been renamed in memory to brisket. I have therefore copied your tribute to a thread there as that would seem to be fitting.
Thank you El Loro that's a lovely idea
I don't believe in Jesus,
Or gods, or deities.
I know such faith, for when we pass,
Our loved ones' pain can ease,
But feel this world is it, for us,
With all our frailties.
Yet, if it turned out I was wrong,
And Heaven does exist,
The gates will host the heavenly throng,
St. Peter will insist,
And surely brisket won't wait long,
His name will top the list.
And in he'll go, no longer ill,
No longer with a care.
I only hope that Heaven will,
Have heard our brisket's prayer,
And Jesus knows his legs to still,
And never flicks his hair!
That's beautiful blizzie ..... more tears
Lots of tears reading this thread.
Can we keep it?
RIP dear brisket.

Blizzie your words above have really touched my heart
Hoochie I have bookmarked this lovely thread I found myself watching your beautiful tribute video to brisket so many times yesterday.. it was done with class for a classy .. gentle .. gentleman..brisket, once again thank you so much
Brilliant poem Blizzums - a fitting tribute to brisket.
I just hope St. Peter doesn't 'aks' or 'axe' brisket his name when he passes through the pearly gates x
Hoochie, that was very well put together, thank you... sleep well Brisket x
Nice tribute, Hoochie.
Blizz.. love the poem and chuckled at the last two lines, I'm sure he'd have laughed too
Lori and all in Seattle - thanks, you played a blinder.
Bon voyage, brisket... *flicks hair and jumps off the worktop for the last time* x
*feels guilty about it*

Why did I forget to put that in?!
Nice tribute, Hoochie.

lol... yes, Lori - it's very good! Sporting ref... 'played a blinder' - played extremely well. Briefly - Seattle did good. (I'm sure brisket would frown on the phrase, but he did like a moan.... )

Ahhh....football, then. I get it. And, why not give brisket the opportunity for a moan?
Yeah, Lori, Nice touch! Very thoughtful
Oh my Hoochie, your video is incredibly moving and well made. I feel awful, I had it in mind that brisket's funeral was today so I'm a couple of days late to the wake (manic week of deadlines has frazzled my brain). I'll miss brisket's presence so much, I loved his quizzes (managed to drag my mister in to GaGa world to take part too), his BB analysis, and the things that bothered him used to amuse me no end.
Blizz, your brilliant verse about him made me smile, and remembering what a wordsmith brisket was, I'm sure he'd have a chuckle too. God Bless you brisket and rest in perfect peace x
That was lovely hoochie. I saw it in the other forum and commented there, but thought it was done by El Loro, so apologies for that.
It brought tears to my eyes, it was so lovely.
Thank you suzy, and everyone who left nice comments about the video - I haven't wanted to keep bumping the thread to thank people because I didn't want to deflect attention from the important subject of saying goodbye to brisket - but I do want to say that it's touched me that people have been so nice about it, so thank you all.
( and don't tell brisket but all the time I was waiting for it to upload to youtube my legs were jiggling nineteen to the dozen....although I did try to stop when I realised what i was doing )
Hoochie ur leg jigging made me laugh..... I am a bugger for knee jiggling in the car... when hubby is driving, the first time, he thought the car was going funny (stopped at lights).. now he just gently smacks my leg... (thou I still have my foot on the imaginary brake !!! )
Why don't we have a communal good night thread (stickie) in memory of brisket ...............we all say our good nights to brisket and everyone else. No replies - just a simple Good Night as we log out!

I can do this. I'll make it a sticky in only one forum, though: you start it, Soozy, and then I'll sticky it.
OK - I'm not quite ready for bed but i'll do it very soon
Just done it Lori - Good night - though I'm sure you've a good few hours left
Done, and done.
And, yes, a few more hours....but I fully intend to get to bed earlier than you!
