Seeing as zazz has started a hate poll, I'd thought I would start a new thread about 'words'.

What words or sayings do you HATE? And in what context?

Currently I am hating:

'Ideal' When you are explaining something to someone about something you have achieved (in whatever form) and they reply with 'Ideal'. Or even worse 'Ideal mate!' ARRRRGH  Its triple the hate when a girl says it too.

'Get on' or 'Geddon' Similar to 'Ideal' this can also be used in the same contexts. 'Geddon Mate!' ARRRRRRRGGGGHH!

'Proper Job' Again, can be used in a similar context to 'ideal' and 'geddon'. 'Proper job mate' ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!

'Mate'

The thing is Squig-Squogs, I am a West Country-tarian but I cannot abide our lingo. I'm the only one in my family that doesn't seem to have adopted a strong accent.

I think i realised the accent from a very young age, so subconsciously taught myself to sound like a posh bastard.

I usually say, "Sorry, I wasn't really listening. I was counting your likes."

Your children speak?  Mine just grunts these days.

I have a husband like that *sigh*

Husband / child, there really isn't much difference.
