I wish Mr and Mrs Smurfy a long and happy life together, and I hope today's wedding is special and wonderful.

I shall be officianating the wedding.  My first between Smumans (Smurf and human) but am also looking forward to attending the wedding breakfast.

As a poor, lowly priest however, I have no money to buy alcohol for the party and our good Lord would look unfavourably on me if I brought communion wine from the vestry   Not sure giving myself confession as way of penance will suffice either

Verily, I do ask that you take pity on this poor servant of God and ply him with copious amounts of gin and tonic (and some nice little finger sandwiches).

Go in peace my children and I'll see you after the Smumans have signed the register.
