Got it in one EFFT
It's never gonna get through, cos too many people want out with a no deal, which will kill us

Yes but for the reasons I applied too
Why why why why oh why explain to me how such a complex question with so many possible outcomes and consequences could have been put to a binary refurendum.
I think it was never really thought out by those in power and the populace was duped into believing that the Powers That Be DID have a coherent plan that would be revealed shortly - in fine detail and that there would be more debate and discussion throughout rather than May's monolateral approach.
It has turned into something more akin to Chest Puffing and who can boast to having the biggest gang!
In my opinion there was never a thought that the referendum would produce a âleaveâ result so there was never a plan in place for it.
Thank you Mr Cameron

And Farage....he bullied him in to it

Farage couldn't bully his way out of a paper bag... Davey boy was scared witless at losing tory votes to the kippers, never in a million years thinking the Country would vote out and if we did he thought he would be in a coalition government again with the lib dems and the lib dems would vote the referendum down.
The referendum won them the election, but he walked away with those famous words 'I'm not dealing with this sh*t*
Most experts thought we would need at least 10 years to leave properly with trade set up, borders sorted, transport sorted, only an idiot would have set Article 50 in motion without a plan, any plan...oh wait

A bit of Brexit advice from the Haunted Victorian Pencil ( it's satire by the way)
Jacob Rees-Mogg advises public to have their butlers keep the pantry well-stocked in event of no-deal Brexit
Leading anti-EU Victorian throwback Jacob Rees-Mogg has suggested the public have their butlers keep the pantry well-stocked in preparation for a no-deal Brexit.
Mr Rees-Mogg is pushing for a hard Brexit in order to be free of EU regulations preventing him employing children in his factories and setting up several workhouses in the Shires, however, mindful of the concerns of people, he has issued some advice for how best to cope in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
âI donât think a no-deal Brexit is to be feared,â said Mr Rees-Mogg as he paid a child a haâpenny for cleaning his chimney.
âHowever, preparations must be made, and a good domestic staff is, I believe, the key to thriving on post-Brexit Britain.
âSimply have your butler keep the pantry well-stocked as there may, initially, be some difficulty obtaining foie-gras and good claret.
âWith regard to the possibility of aeroplanes not flying to Europe, I would suggest that if oneâs butler is incapable of organising a simple sailing tour, then one should be looking for a new butler.
âThere is concern regarding the manufacture of medicine so do be sure your housekeeper has a ready supply of morphine and oil of earthworm.
âAfter a few short generations, all the problems of the no-deal Brexit will have blown through and weâll be left to reap the rewards of an obedient and deferent working class unencumbered by EU fripperies such as fair working conditions and sick-pay.â
Mr Rees-Mogg went on to suggest that the swathes of people who will be made unemployed as businesses move abroad might want to retrain as butlers in order to keep the pantries of their betters suitably well-stocked.
I couldn't have put it better myself
this is what a no deal would achieve. It's insanity to even think about this!
MPs vote by a majority of 211 to seek delay to EU departure.
Well there's a surprise..............NOT!!!!!
And I bet it's still the same come the end of that period too. This lot.....couldn't organize a pee up in brewery.
Anyway with any luck they may not be there come the time
2 and a half years (or so) and we are no closer to anything than we were at the start!

That's my point! Due to a Tory Government!
Where to start? May is the worst PM we've ever had. A cretin who is emotionally deficient. If she were 'normal' she'd have conceded that she is hopelessly incompetent and not fit for office. But she isn't! She's mentally deranged, so no matter how many times she demonstrates her incompetence and bad judgement, she still thinks she's the best person for the job.
She's also a racist piece of work, as the Windrush scandal and 'go home' vans prove. She is a hypocrite who lectures Corbyn on racism while knowing her support base are mostly racists.
She abuses democracy as if she's sitting on a 100+ seat majority when she's held up by bigoted proddies of the DUP, who she gifted ÂĢ1 billion pounds from the Tory magic money tree despite preaching austerity.
I really hate her!
She is a rancid bigoted thick bitch who needs to be tested in a General Election ASAP.
She is deffo the worst ever.
Immaculately manicured with that big costume jewellery.
Not a fan then Carnelian?
I have to say you donât do your views much good by some of the language you use though.
Thats just my view though.
Well even a high ranking Tory has apparently said she's bat shit crazy and more Moonie. So if your own party are saying that....

Would that be one of the Tories who has had the courage to resign Sprouty?
Or even have the courage to actually say it to her face?
I don't know who it was.

I have voted Labour all my life Sprouty but would never vote for Corbyn because he is in control of his party as much as May is in control of hers...
Fanaticism , whatever guise it's masquerading as , is a singularly unattractive trait . The trouble is most fanatics donât even recognise that they are one, they just think they are the ones that are always right , and therein lies its danger!

ho hum, well I'm not the one who is driving people to food banks and homelessness. I hate her and her party because she's a vile woman and her party is a vile party.
I also have no time for her apologists who cry 'foul' when less polite language is used to describe a government that is literally sending people to their early deaths.
You're view is a nicety that's all. If you prefer detached sanitised niceties to decent human outrage to what this spiteful government and its amoral voter base are doing well that's up to you.
You go ahead and feel hurt at the tone of my rhetoric while thousands fall in abject poverty, early deaths and hunger thanks to a government you think should be spoken about with over santised BS.
May is a despicable bitch.
A vicar's daughter who can talk the talk over compassion but is amoral to the core. A hypocrite of the highest order. A sociopath ONLY interested in her own advancement.
She deported black people who'd been in this country since the 40s, 50s and 60s, invited here by the post war Tory and Labour gov'ts. Her 'go home' vans were a dog whistle to racists.
She has waged war against the police force by hacking into their numbers and made stabbings a national epidemic. Her Islamophobic racist fellow travellers spin London's knife crime epidemic as Sadiq Khan's fault and absolve themselves of responsibility for thousands less police officers and the fact that knife crime is rocketing nationally.
She stands at the dispatch box haranguing Corbyn over antisemitism when her party is statistically more antisemite than Labour and her own party and its racist media has milked Isalamophobia to gain votes.
Finally she makes sure no deal Brexit is an option even though she knows it will cripple the country. She doesn't care about this country or its people, she just cares about grabbing enough votes from any scum source to remain in power. She has no morals.
If there is a hell, she will burn for eternity.
Finally,
Thatcher instinctively hated the left. She hated trade unions. She hated 'the socialists'. She felt that Labour and trade unions were sometimes a front for the USSR's agenda intentionally or unintentionally. Council houses promoted socialism by making people reliant on the state. She felt the left was making the UK the 'sick man of Europe' by crippling the UK's competitiveness by communist sympathetic union agenda driven walk outs, strikes and work to rules.
So that's all very well but what of May?
All she seems to believe in is keeping hold of power despite being ****ing useless and she will even sacrifice the UK economy on the alter of stupidity of no deal Brexit just to stay in power even though she knows 'no deal' will screw the UK economy and cost many thousands or millions of jobs. She's a traitor to this country.

So you're prepared to see families drift into poverty and homelessness while there's tax cuts for the rich just because Corbyn isn't in control of his party. Corbyn isn't in control of his party. His party is full of Blairites who'd rather May stay in power than true social democratic policies be implemented. Those Bliarites who's end result was the working class paying disproportionately for the excesses of the banker 'masters of the universe' are weaponizing antisemitism against Corbyn.
Carnelian, as I am not as well educated as you appear to be. So donât understand some of those big words in your posts. I will have to go and google them. Then at least I will know what youâre actually trying to say.
So I will be back sometime in the future when I actually know what youâre on about
A very wise man ( my dad ) said that once you resort to hate, and name calling, you have already lost the argument ! What the country needs is for our politicians (and their supporters )to stop with the fanatical rhetoric and start looking for ways to talk to each other! Until that happens ....be they far right , or pseudo socialists ....this country will continue to go down the pan.....and the losers will be the very people that need it most !

It would be nice in a perfect world but our Tory politicians are hateful and heartless. Thousands have died directly due to cruel sanctioning and being made homeless. This government has blood on their hands.
It would be nice to think the Tories could magically become decent and compassionate but it's not in their DNA. May's warm words about a prosperous country for all are just cynical politicking.
Baz, sorry, I know you mean the best and respect you for that and your faith in human nature but they deserve my hatred in the same way a wife beater deserves my hatred. They have presided over gratuitous cruelty to the most disadvantaged and their policies have caused unnecessary deaths and harm.
George Osborne is on record as saying that cuts to disability benefits played well with core Tory voters. It's not just that party, it's their support base too.

Trust me Carnelian , I have very little faith in human nature ....especially when it comes to politicians The difference between us is that I tar them all with the same brush , and Iâm sorry , but I donât believe Labour, as it stands now , would be any different ....and like Moonie , I certainly wouldnât trust Corbyn ....and Momentum even less ! But in fact I doubt he would even want to be in charge right now , cos letâs face it , Brexit is a total poisoned chalice . The sad thing is that should there be an election any time soon , for the first time in 5 decades I really canât think who Iâd vote for .
