A blue stork has taken up residence in Germany

The people in a German village are puzzled about the appearance of a blue stork as shown in this BBC news item.

The stork, apart from being blue, seems to be perfectly normal, and the other storks don't seem to mind.

*rummages around & finds a couple of tins of emulsion.... one "Raspberry Delight", one "Urban Obsession" (grey/blue)*

I am off to catch a couple of wood pigeons in the garden.....

& then I be printing out my special blue & pink pigeon postcards!

I reckon it went for a squid who then inked it in retaliation. Either that or it's a hybrid between a white stork and a mountain bluebird (which is just a bit unlikely given that they are rather different in size!).

According to what I checked out, squid ink is blackish-blue, it's octopus ink which is black.

I reckon others are right when they blame pollution.
