Driving home this morning and there's a water leak in a road near my house. So after getting home and putting my shopping away I walked there. Road on one side of the road underwater and water getting to the other side of the road. It's a fairly busy road and traffic splashing water over the pavement so would drench any pedestrians. Whilst there was a lull in the traffic, I walked to where I could see the source of the leak which is coming from a water meter. So I knocked on the door to tell the owner. Already aware of it and said it had been reported.

The owner could put a notice on their front door as they must be fed up with people knocking on their door.

The leak isn't showing on the Severn Trent map of leaks.

Had my radio on this afternoon waiting for the news and heard a bit from "Woman's Hour". There's a new musical called "Mozart: Her Story" which is about Mozart;s sister. A song from that was performed from the programme. Sounded very modern, not what one would expect of that time and I don't think it was intended to be or sound anything like the composer's music. I did have a look on the BBC site. The programme on the site is shorter than the normal length of "Woman;s Hour". The Saturday edition is a composite of the weekday episodes. The weekday episode which had included the performance is also shorter. Looks as if the song has been excluded, presumably due to the BBC having the rights to broadcast the song live but not to keep a recording of.

Slim, not much new of interest to you on the Talking Pictures tv channel. Next Saturday at 21.05 is "Fedora" (1978). It was Billy Wilder's penultimate film. Drama about a producer (William Holden) trying to lure an actress (Marth Keller) out of retirement. Apparently a fairly cynical drama.

Sounds fun El

Thankyou for looking

Good morning everyone

Some rain here overnight, fairly cloudy now, more rain forecast with cold weather arriving by tomorrow,
The current forecasts for my area are cold from Tuesday to Friday, warmer by Saturday but with heavy rain and much windier with gusts in the 40s.

I hope everyone has a good day and try to keep warm in the cold weather

Labour are never hitting that 2030 target. The Tories put it back to 2035. Clean energy

Seriously, are you buying a heat pump?  Listen to the radio - they don't work. Horror stories all over.

If it ain't broke don't fix it

Fix EV charging points - they're all bust. Feck, electric cars - what's the battery expentancy - 5 years.

Obvs. I can't spell but who cares.

Dreamland to look good.
