Didn't know he had one...what's it called...''My life as a Class A Asshole''

😂  Apparently it’s a book about the Covid pandemic from his perspective (so probably full of lies).

Imagine the horror when people wake on Christmas morning and find that pile of shite in their stocking

Give me all the 'eyes' that you want to @ slimfern, but 'Parliamentary Obligation' can 'really bugger up' your personal life.

The 5yr period for the active 'governmental life time' may well be responsible for this.

A means of/for the 'election' for 'the masses' should be re-instated for a 'government' that isn't 'cogent' to produce a 'governmental eui

Are you talking from experience there Suricat?

My 'eyes' were focused on your comment about him being in love....wasn't he already married at the time ...not a good look for anyone

I concur. I also apologise for the inappropriate end to my last posting. Something (I don't know what) went wrong.

As a divorcee I can understand how pressures from a work ethic can influence emotional attachments. As the instigator of my divorce I also understand that these pressures against the marriage of a couple can overcome the matrimonial bond. To be frank, I couldn't abide with my wife 'sleeping around' with other guys.

That being said, nature does what nature does.

Kind regards, Ray Dart (AKA suricat)

No worries, although I did wonder whether you might have been cussing me in code

I understand that we are all animals, but as humans we have the ability to show restraint amongst other things.

I don't know any 'cussing code' and if I did, I'm not sure that anyone would understand it. T.B.H. , I dropped my glasses case on the keyboard, everything went haywire and the thing 'posted itself' when I had to be 'elsewhere'.

I was referring to 'human nature'.

AFAIK animals act 'mostly' on a 'hormonal instinct' that builds a 'chemical memory' that induces repetitive behavioural patterns. However, some of the 'higher species' are able to 'problem solve' on a 'basic level', this allows them to 'innovate' in situations they've not encountered before, or they've 'witnessed' the 'scenario' with its 'outcome'. This may be because their action may have 'failed' the outcome they anticipated following a previous encounter, or they 'actually witnessed' the 'encounter' during a scenario they were not involved in, or they just 'got lucky', or they actually 'worked it out' (one chimpanzee must have educated other 'chimps' to 'poke a stick' into an 'ant nest' to get 'food').

Whereas we humans have evolved a 'more complex method of communication' (language) that enables us to 'educate' other humans of varying 'scenarios', 'actions' and 'outcomes', but this mode of communication is 'so complex' that it can also lead to 'misinterpretation' due to 'incomplete disclosure', "double'entendre" (double [more than one] meaning) and 'local slang' (regional differentiation).

I don't know 'anything' about Matt Hancock's 'marital relations' at the time that he was 'observed on camera', but he 'was married' and 'human'. How could you 'know' that he was 'actually' (as you imply) 'cheating on his wife'? Please 'tell us' (unfortunately, we only have 'language' to communicate here) and 'keep it simple'!

He did well in getting stars though. I'll have to watch this more often.

Kind regards, Ray Dart (AKA suricat).

He said something along the lines of 'Politicians should go where the people are.'

So, we must all be sitting in the Australian jungle then!

No EFFT!  The 'Australian Jungle' is being 'brought to us' via "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here"!

The "Australian Jungle" is an 'insight' to us of/for the 'camp-mates' that can make up the 'current group' of inmates/competitors that are 'able/unable' to achieve the 'task at hand' (I shouldn't need to emphasise this).

IMHO Matt Hancock has the 'highest rate' of 'star collection' (camp stars) that 'feed the camp'. Thus, should be 'camp leader' (as he now, currently, 'is' [now 'was']).

'Irony' only 'hides' the 'meaning' of your posts. "He said something along the lines of" isn't a 'positive' comment, it's a comment that's 'fishing' for 'information' from other posters

Please "say what you mean" and "mean what you say"!

Kind regards, Ray Dart (AKA suricat).

I was no fan of his before he went into the jungle , but the way the bullies  (especially  Charlene, BG, Sue , and Chris )  have treated him, and the way he’s dealt with it since he went in there , I’m now down to hoping he stays there longer than they do â€Ķ.and I wouldn’t be unhappy if he actually wins .

Fair enough...however, my response was in a joking form, but then possibly humour is as regional as accents...

As for animal behaviour, well I, as have most on here, watched Richard Attenbourough, if not seen first hand in our life times such things. No teaching needed here thanks!
And I cetainly don't need anyone lecturing me on human behaviour!

I haven't, nor do I intend to, watch 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here'....it's not my cup of tea.
I do though watch and see comments and reports on such things as; On 25 June 2021, it was revealed that Hancock had breached COVID-19 social distancing restrictions with Gina Coladangelo, an adviser in the Department of Health and Social Care with whom he was having an extramarital affair, after CCTV images of him kissing and embracing her in his Whitehall office.

However, I do commend him for...During the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, Hancock welcomed seven Ukrainian refugees into his family home in Suffolk in May 2022 through the Homes for Ukraine scheme. (for whatever reason).

Though possibly that reason, or why he is now in the jungle is:...In April 2022, it was announced that Hancock would publish his diaries during the COVID-19 pandemic called Pandemic Diaries with Biteback Publishing. It is due to be released in December 2022.
The royalties are to be donated to NHS charities <<<

Who knows....Mine is just an opinion based on what I see and read, as is yours.
Unless you know otherwise..

I 'grew up' in W3 London, but my Mum and Dad grew up in the NE of England. This lead to an 'in-congruency' for 'lingual understanding' between the 'familial' and the 'observed linguistic', so I'm conversant with most "accents" of the UK.

I do understand some 'Celtic' phrases, but 'English' is my main method of 'verbal' and 'written' 'communications'

"Richard Attenborough" doesn't even enter into this 'scenario'! It's all about the 'interaction' between the 'camp-mates'.

However, Thank you for your input.

I'm out of here!

Think for a moment Suricat. This thread is about Matt Hancock going into the jungle, but NOT about IACGMOOH itself. Therefore, there is no reason for Slim NOT to post in this thread.

My 'handle' is 'suricat' and not 'Suricat'!

IMO Matt Hancock should have concentrated on the people that he purported to represent when he delivered himself up for election. Nuf said!
