I agree Velvet ….banks and post offices are a lifeline for many elderly people ! I’m pretty internet savvy , but lots of people still aren’t … and it’s not like the banking sector are hard up !
Said the same Velvy - Post Office has stopped accepting benefits payments, now it's direct to bank but if your bank is nowhere near how do you get your £££? Going to the local to withdraw was part of some people's routine kept or years and now to 'cut costs' people are being ostracised in their own community - they don't think about that

Exactly Renton….and in some cases , those trips to the post office , or bank , were the only times people got to see/speak to another human being !
