Wow that is so sad! Donβt know what to say to that.
awful news Velvet, court case coming up, career finished and as if that wasn't enough .....Murdickhead's press were relentless, they are busy deleting all the nasty negative tweets about her from their Scum twitter account. I'm not agreeing with what she allegedly done, but no one knows what goes on behind closed doors ....RIP
Caroline seemed to have a pretty chaotic personal life and issues with drink.
Sheβd also mentioned in an interview that she had previously been on antidepressants and decided to take herself off them. The upcoming court case might just have tipped her over the edge.
My heart goes out to her family.
Utterly tragic
Everyone has bad moments in their lives but most are just that 'moments' and it does not control everything.
Wish she would have worked through them with someone

Absolutely toxic campaign against her from The S*n right up to the last 24 hrs - and now trying to erase it!
RIP

I hate Rupert Murdoch and the targeted cynicism and sanctimonious bile his vicious rags promote, he is absolute poison. There are few people I'd say this of but I hope he dies soon!
Caroline Flack was a flawed person that behaved in a reprehensible manner but we all **** up, some more than others. She wasn't a serial killer. She wasn't IDS, the establishment mass murderer of critically ill people the vile hard right Sun supports.
I liked Caroline Flack, she was ok! Her shows were not really my cup of tea but still, she was just a celeb who on the few occasions when I watched her, was amusing and affable. It's very sad she's taken own life over public opprobrium and tabloid media circus when the likes of Murdoch sit in judgement on her while being the man who lent on Tony Blair to invade Iraq.

I'd like it if all Premier League clubs followed Liverpool and Everton's lead and banned the Sun.
Shockingly sad news
A good article in the Guardian about Caroline Flack's life and the way our media loves to kick people when they're down.

Itβs a bit ironic that when , quite rightly , castigating the press , you then call someone a mass murderer, and wish someone else dead ....isnβt that called pot and kettle .
Literally just heard it on the news (Sunday 15:00).
That is quite a shock. Still not quite processed it yet.

Yeah, I know when I write comments like that I can seem like a hypocrite. But I'm just being honest. He's an old man who in my view is responsible for gutter journalism and a brand of nasty right-wing politics that promotes, cynicism racism and cold-heartedness towards those most in need. He did push Blair into the Iraq war and no one unelected should have such powers!
IDS, by his deliberate policies, is a mass murderer.
I'm just being honest, I would prefer the world without Rupert Murdoch, like I'd prefer it without Ian Huntley, Dr Shipman etc. I don't want to kill him nor for anyone to kill him, nor for him to die in any pain, I just hope he pops his clogs by natural causes sooner than later. He's never going to be anything but a purveyor of nasty politics and gutter journalism.

Fair enough Carnelian ....but however much you hate someone...or however much they *ask for it *... I think itβs as well to remember they also have family , friends etc .....and moreover we donβt actually KNOW them personally , do we?
If only people were accountable this harassment would stop

Fair enough, I knew I'd spark a rebuke when I wrote it. However, I don't think Rupert Murdoch has lost a second's sleep over the people's lives he destroys, the hardships his influence promotes, the families his hacks persecute and harass. It was his newspaper that claimed Saddam had weapons aimed at the UK, that vilified the dead Liverpool fans and their families, hacked a dead teenager's phone. Then the Sun is soon at it again - as always! Hounding a minor celebrity as if the Sun's shit doesn't stink!
I liked Caroline Flack, without being that interested in her work, she was a humourous celeb, but one flawed and suffering from self-doubt and depression that lashed out. We can't all be perfect. So how would a decent person interact with a flawed person who'd done wrong like Caroline Flack did? Empathise, try to understand - not condemn and sneer or make a cheap joke out of their behaviour. Make them feel like the biggest **** in the country and carry on sticking the boot in as the Sun does.
I wish she hadn't done it.

Seems she was visited the night before by emergency services
Can't imagine her state of mind - she must have been so scared.
People have worked through worse - she could have survived and moved on
You never really know what is happening to some people, I was at a party nye, a young lad was laughing, joking and dancing, the next day he committed suicide, everyone was devastated, I received counselling after ptsd and the only thing that kept me going was the thought of my family finding me afterwards and the distress it would cause

I know someone who did the same Machel.....no warning ...no note ....and still no idea why he did it

She thought she needed to - she thought her reputation and career was over.
People have done far worse and still prospered
She didn't need to - poor soul
Seems she hung herself
How desperate must she have been to think that was her best option?
Poor soul - it's heartbreaking . . . and she's never coming back
